Great game but there's an issue. The game is awesome and it was running great at first. About a month ago the edge of the screen started flickering and it never stopped. It's the only game I have that does this and it seems some other people have this going on too based on some discussions I had on reddit.
I would very much like for this to get fixed. It was running perfect the first week or two so the fix must not be so complicated!
Edit: It's on Quest 3. I've got my suspicion that it has something to do with the latest Quest update. I also have some white artifacts in other games in v60 when using streaming through my PC. All started after v60.
Great game. This is such a great game a lot shorter than other Lego games but being able to get up close and move around the scenery was amazing! The changes are hard enough to have an adult think about how to solve the problem yet easy enough that the kids can get on and complete it aswell. The story line was entertaining and the little side tasks was fun although I don’t think I’ll trust a lady bug again. One thing I would like to of had was a sandbox area where the terrain can be selected and you go from there building with a selected area after you have collected all the colours from Boo. But for what you get it’s a great game.
Lego Bricktales. I don’t usually write reviews on games but this one blew me away. I would recommend this game to anyone who firstly - likes Lego and secondly - likes puzzle games. There are different worlds to explore and to look for treasure chests and other items. Also building bridges and other things are so much fun and it is easy to manoeuvre the bricks. This is the BEST game I have now.
Brilliant. This game is simply stunning and one of the best puzzle games I've played on the Quest. The graphics, the play between characters, the story itself, the attention to detail (even 'click' between pieces)... is just wonderful! I can't say that some of the structures I built were 'up to code' but it was so much fun to work through each build and figure out what worked and what needed more time. I highly recommend this game to anyone wanting a relaxing time and who enjoys the Lego genre. The developers have created a brilliant game! I sincerely hope we see additional Lego games or DLC packages in the future, I'll be first in line!
Easiest 5 stars ever. Funny thing, I had no interest in this game when it first released. Never been a big Lego user, thought the movies were cute but that was about it. Don't know what made me try it but I'm so glad I did!
First of all, this looks amazing on the Pro. Really crisp, bright graphics that took my breath away every single time I booted the game up. Second, very intuitive gameplay. It's a platformer like Moss except a little more simplistic for younger players, I imagine. I'm okay with that. Third, there's a story that's all fun because it's just exploring, puzzle solving/building, and fetch quests. No fighting. Hallelujah! In fact, as befits a Lego title, it's very wholesome with a positive message.
What might be a minus for some is there's no real way to completely freeplay build something in a sandbox. All the building is done to help characters in the story and therefore further the plot. This is the puzzle-solving aspect, because structures have rules and requirements that must be met, and this isn't always so easy (younger players will most certainly require help for a few of them, as they really stumped me for a minute). But it's unexpectedly satisfying seeing your creation inserted onto the game map (and you can bling it out however you choose, as long as the main rules are met).
There are a lot of environments (5 main worlds, with multiple maps in each) and a lot of times I just felt like I was wandering aimlessly because I have a terrible memory, but I got there in the end. You unlock skills in each world, so you have to revisit old ones with new skills that open up new paths. Very clever, and allows for nonlinear thinking. Along the way you meet a bunch of characters and there is plenty of that Lego sense of humor.
I completed the whole game yesterday and was just left feeling very, very satisfied. Worth every penny, even if you're a little long in the tooth like me! (even the credits are funny) Easiest 5 stars ever!
Pure magic in VR. This game is truly beautiful. I loved it.. Everything.. Its incredible graphics, super careful in detail.. With very beautiful locations. The sound and music in general is also a delight. The gameplay based on small constructions and some puzzles is very fun and enjoyable... A pleasant surprise, this magnificent title that should not be missing from your library. Congratulations to the creators... I want more XD
This game is a literal masterpiece. It doesn’t matter if you are a Lego fan or not, if you are thinking on buying this game just do it. You will NOT regret it. The sound track is amazing, the graphics, the lighting, the storyline, the mechanics, this game is perfect down to the minuscule details.
Graphics: 1000000/10
Soundtrack: 10/10
Replayability: 9/10
Storyline: 9/10
Humor: 10/10
Overall score: 100/10
I cannot stress how good this game is. I have a billion games of which none are as polished as this. The lighting and graphics are the best part (besides the building aspect and such) and you could spend hours just admiring this beautiful game. Do yourself a favor and just buy it!
Only one thing missing: fixed table mode. It’s a stunning mixed reality game! However, I’d appreciate a fixed table mode where the app remembers my playable surface (eg table), allowing me to just rotate the game surface without changing the height every time a new animation or zone appears. This enhancement would definitely amplify the magic in gameplay. Looking forward to more space-related options like these!
Best Game We've Played! My son and I came down with COVID over the holidays. We spent 4 days isolated and playing this game from start to finish, taking turns solving the puzzles and watching each other play casted on to the tablet. It is a wonderful game that brought me lots of joy during a kind of crappy situation. In retrospect, I will cherish this holiday season and the memories I made playing this game with my son. I hope for many more VR Lego games in the future! Would love to be able to buy and build sets to build virtually, or a free play "sandbox" type game!
Childhood Relived. Building legos - check One time payment - check
When you can build with legos and don’t have to pay 100s of dollars for a single build, that is a miracle in itself.
This game is a must buy for anyone looking to scratch that lego itch without going broke in the process.
The only thing I hope they improve is to allow lego pieces to be rotated when picked up and that the screen will stay locked even during transitions so that we do not have to keep rotating the screen back.
Other than that, this game is a solid 8.3/10 A must buy for lego fans, but lack of replayability and mediocre motion controls keeps this game from a 10.

Can't Stop Playing. This is a title that I feel all ages would really love. Would love to see something in the future where you could share the space in mixed reality and build stuff together. I'm about halfway through and it's really hard to put the game away lol. It's fun... there is a story and you get to build stuff... and use your imagination. I used to spend hours building Legos... so, this is a great way to experience that again. Without having to move it out of the way.
Beautiful. This game is so beautiful and joyful but I still dream about the day I would be able just to mount all the lego classics like Titanic, Concorde, Disney Castle and all the amazing brick sets I never could have because I never had enough space for doing that in real life. It would be such an amazing and relaxing experience just to seat down on my couch and choose this alternate play and just pick whatever brick sets I want and have all the step by step and the guiding books exactly like in real life. Maybe in a close future? :)
