Fun Game But Terrible Dialogue. The premise of the game is solid with a decent variety of game modes on offer. There is a very good tower defence element that can offer a decent challenge as the waves of incoming enemies mount up. The enemies themselves are varied, some are human based, some are animals such as bears and wolves while others are beasts such as flying dragons. Defences can be laid down and upgraded as you earn rewards during combat. Other bonuses include upgraded arrows and special arrows that can be used in different scenarios. The archery mechanics are easy to master and in fairness to the developers accuracy is generally very good. The title also features story and task driven adventure elements which are spread across some interesting and varied environments. Graphics are a little blocky but colourful and serve the mood of the game well. What I found most irritating in this game was not the gameplay itself, but the quantity of drivel that you have to listen to from NPCs especially in the story based levels. Most of the voices used are jarring and often juvenile, often resembling voicing from an episode Power Rangers kids cartoon or an episode of Borat, which is a shame. Yes there is some welcome humour in the dialogue, but there are far too many lengthy, stereotypical and largely boring scripts which can't be skipped. I sat on many occasions openly asking and willing the characters to please just shut up and allow me to play the game. It's not a game breaker, but the sheer volume of verbal diahorea quickly became irritating and certainly spoiled my enjoyment of the title. The developers should at least add a feature to allow players who want to skip the dialogue to do so.

Fun with friends! Ashen Arrows has a story campaign mode which is available for single player only at the moment, and includes three, narrated tutorial maps that teaches the basics of movement, combat, and game mechanics. The Bastion level is the wave-defense adventure that can be played in single player or co-op with up to three players. It's is simple to learn and play and doesn't require much skill, just a bit of strategy. But what surprised me the most is that It has some witty humor that made me giggle. I love playing games that have humor or comedy in them.

Great Strategic Rouge-like Wave Defence. I just grabbed this not really knowing what to expect! I have a knee injury so was looking for a game to play seated! Well I found a decent game here! It’s got a decent intuitive tutorial, that narrates you through the ins and out of the games mechanics. Once you get started it’s a great little adventure learning the ropes of power ups and choosing what extra skills to buy in order to defend your base from the varied ememies! I found it very atmospheric and the narration is comical in places, however it does have a few voice words that maybe you don’t want your kids to hear so be mindful of that lol Jump into to coop and take on the quests as a pair! All said and done I’m enjoying this and would invite anyone to jump in and join the quest! Great little game

Dragons and Vikings! This game is dripping with humour, charm, a bunch of game modes and has cute, low poly visuals that aid in telling the story of vikings in a cool fantasy world!Armed with a bow and arrow you get to shoot your way through a campaign mode, tower defense mode and up to 3 players in co-op mode!I haven't yet completed the campaign mode but what I played so far was rich with lore and tells an immersive tale as old as time!I got to play the bastion mode in co-op and it was a lot of fun, with a whole range of upgrade skills, a variety of enemies and many chuckles! 😆 I highly recommend this game, it is the right combination of VR immersive gameplay and thematically exciting environments with a huge amount of content that the developers are still actively adding to! (Co-op campaign anyone??!)❤️
