poor vr game, great without vr. This game seems lacking in almost every aspect... no immersiveness and no touch support... no modding etc... seems like a bad beta test of the game... I really really regret buying it.
Upsetting. I don't like giving my opinions on silly games, BUT. This game was just too silly.
Subnautica is a phenomenal game and it upsets me to see an outdated and poorly optimized version of the game being placed on a store for VR games, especially when the VR support for the game is extremely lacking and this version does not support mods.
I don't know if we should blame Uknown Worlds or Oculus but either way, I just want this game to become as good as the Steam version.
Overall, the game itself is just fine but the more I think about what I'm missing out on, the more I would rather just spend even more money to get the Steam version. So yeah I'm getting the Steam version, please don't waste your money like I did. Bye bye
Version 1.0 - no updates. It says clearly it's an early access version and updates will be available when the game is complete... but as many people wrote before, it seems like the oculus version was abandoned while you get a better version on steam. I regret buying this :(
Great Game. I can see why many left a 1 star review, complaining about V1.0 or funky controls, but this game is really fun. When you start the game, certain default controls are set to your computer's keyboard, so you kinda have to multi-task. I found you can tweak with the settings and change up the controls, so that problem is fixed. People reported bugs as well, but I don't find it too much worse than the xbox version. The only time I don't want to play this game is because I'm scared of the leviathans or my neck is about to snap.
why?! Why does Oculus leave aps like this on the store that wont run and are pooly executed...really V1.0? My dog is V4.0.

Hey guys I need some devs to help me! It wont let me scroll through the PDA or enter the aroura code since these are actions you do with the mouse but even when i do it with my mouse it wont work!!?! (Im using oculus quest 2 connected to pc)
Dont buy oculus version. The oculus version of the game has not been updated, and is version 1.0. While i recommend the game buy it from another store as it is effectively abandonware on the oculus store, and no known bugs have been fixed.
There are alot of problems. I'm am playing this on rift s and it requires you to use the pc almost at all times but you can't see well without it, the only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the graphics are great, overall would not recommend (on rift s) because I find it a waist of 25 dollars.
Need More Devs willing to take the risk. What they have here isn't perfect, but it's one of the largest, grandest and most beautiful games in VR. It's a port, so it's not perfect. Controller is better than touch by far. Support this game so others see we support the CHOICE of this dev to make the game availible in VR. It's not perfect, but it's still one of the best.
Rift S Controller not supported. BE PATIENT WITH loading. I have high end pc and thought game had crashed, black screen in rift s. But after a few "days" ;) it loaded. Make sure you allow the game to write the save files if your pc asks permission. Run game come out of it and check desktop. Accept the screen menu and quit and relaod game or you will have to keep doing into and not get any saves. I bought this game a long time ago and it was fine and still fine. Originally I had the Rift. However it made me feel realy sick. I now own a Rift S which has a decent frame rate and the nausea is very minimal. This game would make me feel sick and thats why i dont play it. I felt it necessary to wirite a review and try it on the RIFT S. The Oculus Touch controlls are fine and worked without any change in game settings. I do not understand the issues other players are having. Ps4 xBox controller can be configured easily why no Rift S when its a vr game?. So there is my review. Game looks beautiful and is slick. I need look myself in the settign for the comfort control. However im sure binocular shutter vision wont help. I get dizzy watching an ice skater spin in real life. RIFT s is much better for this game though. Grab ya controller and enjoy the game. The touch controllers dont really transfer well to a game like this anyway
Horrible controls. They truly are a nightmare on Quest 2. There was exactly 0 thought put into it. Game looks fantastic though. Once (or rather if) the controls are fixed, it'll be easy 5 stars. For now though, just 1, as it is... well, unplayable on quest 2 in its current state.

Oculus Rift Fail. Does not work with oculus rift controllers.
Waste of money. The controls are horrible! The devs clearly ignored adding touch support making the oculus controllers completely useless. My family and I spent over 30mins trying to figure out the half job controls so that we would do the first mission.
It's such a shame too because the graphics are amazing.
A beautiful failure. This is a great game, but it's a joke in VR. The VR version feels like it was a demo made as a proof of concept for porting the game into VR, but the people who saw the demo assumed it was the finished product and released it for sale. Very unpolished. Save your money for the flat screen version.
