Install Issues. The game runs great, but you must contact the game support to get access. The game needs a code, and that code will not work. Contact their customer support and have them enable the permissions. Oculus support can not help you. Contact the game support. It is a known problem.

dl speed of meta servers. game is grerat, meta servers suxx, 4gb in 4 days ... maybe next month it will b downloaded...
GTX 1080ti to RTX 4090 from 5 to 1 star. My biggest disapointment of the year, I just spent 2500 $ CDN for a new GPU and guess what, Elite dangerous perform exacly the same poor FPS !!!!!!! 45-50 fps on foot with the default medium settings at 1080p on a single screen, so you can forget about VR. What a F@#$%* ---> JOKE.
It's clear by now just FDEF can't do anything good with odissey (1.5 year after launch). Elite Dangerous Horizon 3.8 was Amazing with a 5/5 star VR experience. Horizon 4.0 Perform not so good, Odissey 14.01 performance on foot is not acceptable, specially in conflict zone and Thargoid war.
It's even worse for all the north american user with a 60hz monitor, FDEV do you know the difference from NTSC and PAL/SECAM ??? Because in america anything running at 50hz on a 60 hz monitor look like total GARBAGE.

P.S. Running a fully debloated windows 10 Pro (Under 90 Processes on idle). M.2 NVM with all the other fancy expensive pc hardware toys is not making any difference on foot. The problem is in the code Optimisation. Half-Life 1.0 from sierra (Now Valve) in 1999 was running better on a pentium 2, 400 MHZ, 56k modem back in the days...
Not the latest game version. The current version of the game is 4.0 but the one in this store is version 3.8 which is now a legacy edition. Best thing is to load the game via the Elite Dangerous launcher and it loads into VR
Another great game no longer supported. Meta has done it again. Stopped support on another triple a title. Had to repurchase it from steam. They dropped support of this game without notice today. I have requested a refund. Have had it since 2017. This is a nasty habit they have. I have lost at least 8 games due to this terrible policy. I will never purchase another game through the PC Oculus store again.
This game is f'n torture. Seriously, I have two hours to play a game and decide if I want a return (after that I no longer have this option as a consumer). But I can't even get past the first two f'n training missions in this to game to figure out what it's really like--it's that complicated and convoluted to just get the basics down. Now, maybe I'm just missing something, but I've tried to warp to that first planet in training mission 2 and I just keep getting stuck once I arrive. After that absolutely none of the instructions make sense; I just can't get the ship to go to wherever it's supposed to go next--presumably a station or something--and slow down to the correct speed and whatever else. I honestly wanna f'n smash something right now. Games are supposed to be fun--this game is f'n torture.

One of the best VR games ever. Absolutely great, always the same spirit as in the original on the Commodore C-64! Crazy! If the new version shouldn't be good in VR, go for the Elite Dangerous standard one.

Cant' even login to play... I can't even begin to describe how convulted setting up this game is. You need like three extrnal accounts and need to jump through 10 hoops. Then when you finally set everything up, you get an error code saying you need to purchase the game. Unreal. Waste of money.

Scam - WANTS REFUND! Like all the other reviews*, i tried to download ... it took 21.06 gigs, then made me created a Frontier Account* to and i quote " BE ABLE TO PLAY THE GAME " so you have to download Frontier*. I Do.... It then says ((((( I Don't own Elite Dangerous on this new Frontier Account ))))) ... like it wants me to buy it a 2nd time? I don't get it, LITERALLY 0 MIN OF PLAY TIME on account.
HORRIBLE front tier menu. since it is registered in oculus they should be automaticlly registered as that account why do you have to launch an external menu. I can't even play the game. first try, immedietly hated it. Please purchase. when I tried to register in front tier I already purchased it on oculus store.
It Works but with a workaround. First i got the same problems like most guys , this third-party Key wont work directly but now after some testing i got it . here is my manual how it worked . 1. Install on Oculus until you got to register a new account on frontier website 1.1 register and login on the frontier webpage https://www.frontierstore.net/customer/account/index/ , go to PARTNER KEYS menu 2. then have a look if your PARTNER KEYS from oculus ist linked with the game 3. link / claim to steam account , this gives you a steam PARTNER KEY 4. add game on steam by game -> activate product -> using this steam PARTNER KEYs 4.1. got now with this purchase : Elite Dangerous : Standard (Steam , Horizons Season Pass (Steam), Arena (Steam) 5. install game 5.1 install SteamVR 6. start game without VR (or it will need an update , but there isnt a update for oculus / quest / 2) 7. start a short play 8. end game 9. start steam , launch elite with steam VR 10 . finaly you should connect into VR gaming with your oculus quest 2 11. open a support ticket with your oculus purchase success screenshot and your ordernnumber . the devs will fix some stuff on the server side . 12 . after this you can start elite through oculus client directly .
and its amazing : you realy watch 360 in a cockpit (easy to follow fighters to hit them , if you look to right menue open automatet , if you look left top , next menu is visible /chat) , if you look forward button next menu ist select , look to the right , gives another menu , when those are visible use the gamepad to select entry and menu tabs . after some trys you will easy drive those stuff .
have fun, it feels real , haha , to real . thats future hud , badly you have to use a gamepad , but what ever , it works well .
5 stars for the game, -1 tricky install from oculus purchase +1 for the support fixed after 1 hour = 5 stars all over this experience

Odyssey made VR unplayable. This game is barely worth it without VR. And it's not good for VR ever since Odyssey. It ruined it in ways that severely effect VR play. Whatever insane method they use for rendering which still has not been fixed with all they've claimed to have done since Odyssey "release", absolutely tanks performance in station hangars even if you don't get out of your ship and go to the lobby. Somehow it's not an issue in desktop mode, but in VR it tanks performance to a few fps. Not only is this headache inducing and annoying but it wont go away, and typically stays even if you launch and frameshift away. This single issue alone makes the game unplayable. Don't even get me started on the countless others

No account links ?. Purchased game trough Oculus store. Cant play it since it was downloaded couse Oculus account is not linked with whatever is needed to play. Wasted 5 hours trying to get the game key and to make that frontier account work... I think this is the end of my travel trough that Elite and Dangerous universe. Thank you very much.
Best Game I've Ever Played in VR. This game has not been abandoned for VR. True, some aspects of Odyssey are not in VR, but it can still be played with a Quest 2 headset. Everything in space is still VR. Truly exceptional game.
Terrible Trouble on startup with login. I played on Oculus Quest 2 and i cant start up this game. When i open it, i see only login screen with my mail and verification code. When i wrote code from mail from your store-company, login screen see the text "not purchased". what? i buy it form oculus store and i cant play!!! I tryy login one month, its terrible. Contact me pls for helping this trouble. thanks
