Experience the wonder and majesty of the ocean through a series of habitats and come face to face with some of the most awe inspiring species on the planet.
Magical experience with caveats. What you get here are 3 relatively short episodes, after half an hour you've seen everything the experience has to offer. While lacking in overall detail density and environment quality due to the age of the app, seeing a whale swim by is still impressive, and watching an ocean abyss light up as more and more fish approach gives a sense of the beauty nature has to offer.
However, the app was developed for the Oculus Rift and shows Rift controls only, even though I believe that it should be able to run on a Quest 3, perhaps even on the Quest 2. It's also lacking some of the content of the Steam version, most prominently a dlc with sharks (that has negative reviews on Steam). The Steam version also offers the first episode for free, so buying the content on Steam is actually slightly cheaper.
Works fine for me but missing content?. Works pretty well. a little laggy but thats because I'm using oculus quest on airlink. Only problem is when I look at the game on steam, it has an experience i dont see on here, Hammerhead Cove. Also, I know its really HQ and thats why its not on the quest 2, but I really hope they make it available on the quest 3 when it comes out since it has higher specs.

Get it on a whale of a sale. Great game for intiating first-time VR players, like friends or family. But this experience, while very fun for a handful of minutes, is just a drop in the ocean. You can't swim, you can't move freely - you're supposed to sit back and enjoy the ambiance. And it really is fun to be immersed underwater among a myriad of colorful sea creatures. For what it does, it does well in my opinion. Especially the abyss, which is more atmospheric than the other two, and delivers a mildly thrilling experience for beginners.
But the price? You're paying for about 10-15 minutes of content soooo... it's up to you. I got it on sale for half-off ($5) and I think it's worth it. Granted, you can get more interactive experiences for less. But you get to come face to face with a whale. C'mon now.
