Starts strong, ends weak. Bohemoth is by no means a 'bad game' with the stand out features being the visuals and the sound design. But after a while, the amount of puzzles and same enemy types starts getting tedious with mountains of lore that you collect and don't really pay any attention to.People play Bohemoth to experience...the bohemoths but it takes a long time to reach them and there's not a lot of them. The mechanics in the game are strong and the combat is satisfying although the swinging could do with improvement and the sections where you need to climb walls can be glitchy or your hand gets caught the wrong way and doesn't allow you to grab. The Bohemoth battles themselves, although they look great, are more puzzle like and again when you need to climb them, can be difficult.I personally think the story of this game rather needed more variety and less puzzles/lore or...the campaign needed to be a couple hours shorter. You can tell the Devs were ambitious but unfortunately by the end of the campaign, you get a bit of relief that it's 'finally' over. But I will say, the last areas and boss were by far the best, the puzzles had a bit more to them and the boss + it's environment was the most atmospheric of the whole game.If the whole game was more like the finishing couple areas, it would've been a higher starred review.

Think Shadow of the Colossus in VR. 15.6 hrs on recordBehemoth nails the feeling of being a small, insignificant human tasked with something impossible. The scale, atmosphere, and combat pacing kept me hooked, with enough variety to keep encounters fresh once I got the hang of things. The world itself is beautiful and immersive, but also very linear and empty at times. The story unfolds in a good way, richer the deeper you go, and the buildup to each Behemoth encounter is honestly the best part of the whole game. That said, the Behemoth battles themselves start epic but eventually feel more like a gimmick — sometimes with no clear direction or sense to what’s happening. Add in some frustrating bugs (audio errors and soft locks after the 1st Behemoth had me restarting the game multiple times before finally pushing through), and the experience loses some shine. For me, this is a one-and-done journey. I’ll probably come back once more to soak in the scrolls, memories, and Trials mode before putting it down for good. But as a full chapter of VR action-adventure, it’s an experience worth having at least once.TL;DR: A beautiful, linear VR epic that starts strong, stumbles in its boss fights, and suffers from some bugs — but still delivers a memorable journey. Think Shadow of the Colossus in VR.

Don't listen to most people. I honestly love this game, played mostly on steam but had to get the standalone also for on the go. If you love fighting/slashing game this is it! PS most people have problems with stamina but don't know you can toggle it off in the settings.

THE REVIEWS ARE WRONG. THIS GAME IS INCREDIBLE! It is an ambitious title for sure, SO RUN IT FROM YOUR PC! I'm sure that all of the negative reviews are just from impatient people trying to play this on a Quest 2. From a gaming PC to a Quest 3, this game runs like a DREAM.

This GAME is the best VR story game EVER. The feelings i got from this game were out of this world and the way the combat feels is just not the same in other games. I get that people crash on this game frequently but i did not crash once through out the whole campaign i am running on a 3090 24gigs of ram and i have a 12900ks and i ran the game greatly. By far the best story game i've ever played in my whole career of VR.
