The largest production ever filmed in space, Space Explorers: The ISS Experience is an epic four-part immersive series that invites you to join eight astronauts on life-changing missions aboard the International Space Station. Shot over two years with exclusive access to the crew, The ISS Experience offers an intimate take on the joy, wonder, and dangers of life in orbit.
NEW SPECIAL FEATURE: THE ISS EXPERIENCE: SPACEWALKERS EXTENDED Extended version of the world’s first-ever spacewalk captured in cinematic VR outside the International Space Station, featuring behind the scenes action deploying and maneuvering the VR camera.
The idea is good. The idea is good, the implementation is mediocre. Chapters can only be downloaded in the game. I didn't find any other option. Going through the game and waiting for the chapter to download - I don’t like this approach.
Just WOW! Had seen only the first chapter so far. Although I using an old 1. Gen Oculus Rift I had tears in my eyes, because the impression is so overwhelming... Specially the moments when you are in the cupola and the earth is rushing by beneath you :'o And the astronauts are speaking to you from the off, telling about their experience - and you hear the radio transmissions in background... Almost feels you are there :D Wish I could.... Stunning! GET IT!!!
Couldn't wait to watch the next episode. This is so good, discovered it by chance on the Technology - VR section on Google News. I have read so many reviews on other experiences being too short, I feel these episodes are of the right duration. The experience is so absorbing, I found myself leaning again the wall like I am leaning against the wall of the ISS. So good! Looking forward to the bonus episode of space walk outside the ISS 👏
Simply Amazing! Been using VR since Dk1 and I have to say this is one of the best VR experiences to date. Absolutely beautiful perspectives from space, plane, training, launch pad etc. A inside look at our world that would make Carl Sagan loose his mind. They get up close and personal with the brave astronauts as well. Great job.
Fixme? Black screen. Downloaded the first episode succesfully. 2 meta like rings visible for 10 seconds and then blackness, just blackness. Will try again tomorrow, maybe on another episode and an update for oculus and graphics driver (pretty recent though).
Unable to download episodes. Looks really cool but I'm unable to download any of the episodes, and streaming isn't really working either. It just buffers endlessly and will show maybe 1:00 of video.
thank you! Just tried out the new update with view from capola. It's pretty awesome. Hopefully someday can get high quality vr cameras. Hope more will get released it's mind blowing.

息をのむほど素晴らしい。 これまでの放送分(パート1、2)とおまけの2本を視聴しました。
ISSとそのクルーの様子を見事に表現しています。
次の2つの映像が公開されるのが待ち遠しいです。

Breathtaking. Watched all of the avalibale content so far (parts 1 and 2) plus the extra two bits
Its a stunning look into the ISS and the crew onboard
Unique content in VR! Probably the most impressive and unusial video I've seen in VR so far. 360 degree 3D video footage with amazing resolution taken in space! The quality of the video is so great that you can literally explore the ISS as you were there and be amazed with how alive this place is and how astronauts (and cosmonauts) made it look and feel like home. You actually don't have to wait with the headset on to wait for the film to download - this app has a standalone download manager, so after selecting the video to download in VR you can close the app entirely. The download speed is not very fast indeed - but I was able to download the 1st episode in 3 hours, and the 2nd in 2 hours. Each movie takes about 8-9GB of storage space.
Still waiting for episde down load. It's probable very good, but who wants to wait for hours for an episode to download. Currently downloading less then 1GB per hour. This episode it 8.56GB and it looks like I will have to leave the computer on over night. zzz My broadband is >40Mbps. I won't be purchasing any of the other episodes.
Note to devs. Well, sat here for an hour and a half with the headset on while Ep3 DLd. It will not DL without the headset on. Finally got to watch it. While it was a great show, I don't think I will fight this battle for any further episodes. I don't have this kind of time, frankly.
EDIT - 10-24-20 Still a no-go for the most part. I can only just barely stream but it's so choppy that it's useless. And forget about DLing it. It doesn't make sense to me that you can't DL it without the headset on.
EDIT - 10-17-20 Was 5 stars but then I paid for the third episode and when I go to DL, it is so slow that it eventually times out. So, after trying that a few times, I decided to stream it and that didn't work either - just goes black and stays there. No sound, no visuals - nothing. Please get it working devs! ----------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL REVIEW (5 STARS)
My thesaurus doesn't list enough positive words to describe this experience. The production is as perfect as it gets. Space scenes, interviews and the 1st person experiences and views are simply the best I have seen in VR or any other medium for that matter.
I want to see more of this! You guys and gals hit this one WAY out of the ball park.
The Free Part Is Very Short. The experience is broken down into several parts, some parts have not yet been released. What has been released, so far, is a very short freebie (less than 10 minutes) and two pay for parts. The freebie was not narrated by Brie Larson, hence the pay for parts. The two pay for parts total about 39 minutes, not each, but together. I can only assume that the other parts, once released, will also cost.
To fully experience this free app, once all of the parts are released, it'll end up costing $18 - $21 @ $2.99 per.
The sheer amount of clutter in the ISS would drive me nuts. It's nice to know that they can afford Bose speakers.
Loved the first episode on the ISS. Been waiting for the ISS stuff to drop ever since F&P hyped about getting the gear on the station, and here it is! It was amazing, thank you. Can't wait to see the rest. This is the best way to remotely experience what it's like on the ISS - non-stereo 360 or plain video just won't do.
So far it's nicely edited as always, with plenty of great moments with the crew and otherwise. I do wish the parts shot in the Cupola would have been longer, though :) Also maybe a technical note - for people with a slower connection it would be nice to be able to initiate bought downloads in the desktop app without putting the headset on - it might take long and it would be nice to go in the app after the video is ready to play.

Must Watch! This is a must watch for everybody! The first episode of "The ISS Experience" was filmed entirely in space, onboard the International Space Station. To be able to experience something normally only available to astronauts was truly inspiring. Well worth the $2.99!
Another awesome gift from Oculus! Probably the best 360 degrees movies I've ever seen. Sure the resolution could be higher, but this is a 5GB download for about 20 minutes - so quality vs. size seems balanced. If you like space and NASA, you need to see this! Note this app is not free, each 20 min movie costs $3, but that's cheap for the awesome experience you're getting. You can refund the movies if you do not like them. I'm not refunding anything - the whole family needs to watch this! :-)
Human Kills Poly Giant. This is beautiful but I’m not seeing any lesson about respect here. So far as I can figure out, a lovely giant poly creature wants to go to the beach and fiddle about in a sea cave. They don’t even seem aware of the human as they happily smile and do whatever it is they are doing. The human sees a pictograph of the creature, decides the evil attacking beast must die (even though the giant seems blissfully unaware of the human) and pulls its gem heart out. The poor beastie dies and the human is killed by the gem heart and becomes a cave doodle. Seriously, that is what I got out of it. So the lesson is kill anything different than you, I guess.
