Tired after a long day of hiking, two best friends Kendra and Jen are on a lookout for a place to stay for the night. On the advice of a passing driver, the girls end up in a cosy looking guest house located deep in the woods. It's not long after they had settled in their room that strange, unexplainable events begin to happen. The girls soon realize that a dark secret was hidden deep within the walls of the house...
The Eerie Inn is a mystery, puzzle-solving horror game. You play as one of the girls and your mission is to find out the truth behind the mysterious things happening inside the guest house.
Detailed graphics coupled with great suspenseful music creates an intense horror VR experience unlike any other.
We strongly recommend standing up while playing and having your headphones on for greater immersion.
Can't judge VR by it's cover. So the graphics look terrible. The locomotion is almost as bad. This is obviously a mobile VR ported game. You are really just using touch controllers as a gamepad, you don't grab any items at all, you simply point and click. The game has freaking loading screens and a very basic UI. However, the game itself is horror fun. What it doesn't have in the graphics department, it makes up with atmosphere. It has a really good story with good pacing. The voice acting is surprisingly well done. The game has jumpscares, but they are jumpscares that make sense within the scope of the story. There are light puzzle elements. You can save your progress within the game. And the ending is pretty satisfying. I got this game on sale for $2.49 and feel I got more than my money's worth. This is one of the better VR horror games out there!
Jump scares! I had to stop the game a few times because it just got too intense for me...the music is very creepy and fits perfectly to the overall experience. I do have to agree with the other comment about the controls. It would have made more sense to use the thumbstick to move around the game instead of the ABXY buttons. However I really do enjoy playing this game very much and hope to see more like this in the future...GOOD JOB DEVELOPERS!
Fun interactive narrative, bad controls. This is a great, fun interactive narrative horror experience. The environment feels complete and well thought out, though the graphics can feel odd (strange door sizes, etc.). Thought the dialog was fun. For the price, would give five stars if it wasn't for the really wierd controls that use the A,B.X.Y buttons to turn. At this point, using odd controls like this just makes things confusing and frustrating.
