Surround video rather than true VR. It's 360 video (and not great quality but at least I can stream it over my internet this way) not true VR. Despite this there's some interesting gems in there (from a stage view of Phantom of the opera, to seeing inside the Pyramids of Giza.) It's also free so worth a look.

It's a start. Yeah, it's pretty simple, but it's a start I guess. They really need to reimagine what the news experience is, though. I can watch CNN videos through any number of other apps, where I can also do other things. So, CNN, why are people going to go to your VR app when the only thing it does is act like a 2D screening room with some 360 video? You really need to offer something that people cannot get anywhere else.

You can tell it was abandoned. New videos uploaded (slowly) but they don't have VR compatibility.

Google Earth VRと並んで完成度の高い無料アプリ さすがＣＮＮが出すだけある。Google Earth VRと並んで”これが無料！？”と唸ってしまう。亡国のVRニュースアプリとは雲泥の差である。今後のコンテンツにも期待が持てるが、いかんせん字幕機能が無い。ヒアリング能力の低い私には英語でも良いので字幕機能は必須である。それでも、価値は高い。なので、★５つP.S.早くYouTube VRもOculusに来ないかなぁ？
This app used to work, but doesn't anymo. I used to be able to watch it's videos that it had, sure it was outdated news, but it used to work pretty well. Nowadays all I see is a blue hexagon loading sign then an exclamation mark in it and therefore it doesn't work at all anymore and I can't do anything in it.
Okay if you like 360 videos. That's all this became. A completely abandoned project. Normal videos don't even load. Cool visual but then that's all this is now.

Worst app ever. Worst app ever, I just want to watch VR-Videos and do not grap and put something somethere
Like the concept, but 360 is too blurry. I like the general concept of the news room and all of the 360 experiences...but my main issue with anything 360 is the camera quality is so low that anything beyond 4 feet away is too blurry to bother watching. At that quality Id rather watch the same video on a 2D screen with HD. More of a technology/price restriction that prevents a VR App for news from being viable yet.
Could be better. App is good but they really need to update the stories more and perhaps have a live feed as well. Special events.. things like that. Kinda boring but has potential.
