First Person Tennis - The Real Tennis Simulator(日本語対応、シミュレーション、スポーツ、アーケード)の評価とレビュー
I Helped this game for free translation. June 2022, I Helped this game for free translation in both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese for free because I love this game. But now it didn't update the script still. The developer broke his word for many times. Now it is why I give it a one star.
Update: even adding new Turkey language into game last update. I don’t know how hard to update the current language.
Update & Update: If you have no time to update it, don't give me your language scripts for translation. BTW, the current translation is awful. Seems user experience is not important at all.
Almost perfect. I'm having an issue with the Quest 3. If you enable pass through and then go back in to the game, your tennis racket is on the ground. There's no way to pick up the racket so the game is over. Otherwise its the best VR tennis game I've played.
Update: While serving I can not activate the in game menu to use the "reset" option. The button does not work while serving. I can get to the menu while receiving. This is using the oculus app through pcvr.
Best Tennis Game By Far. As a non tennis player (just dont like the game in real life) I am absolutely hooked on this one. Its scaringly addictive and the only game I play daily from a choice of more than 40 + downloaded options. I have been playing now for more than 6-months and the most recent update has made this version the best so far. This game brings variety in challengers and is an excellent daily workout. Ive lost more than 15kg playing this game, while satisfying my competitive nature. Im that serious on this game I just purchase a new racket extension and replaced my quest 2 controller with pro controllers giving the game an even more realistic feel and far greater accuracy with my shots as the tracking is so much better with the pro controllers. 5 stars without a doubt. Thanks to the developer for the best VR game period! Good lucj trying to beat it.
calibration. i load up the game and my touch controllers are in their normal position but in the game they are backwards and theres no way to change that
The best tennis game. Period. Funny and accessible the arcade mode, challaging and rewarding the sim mode. Playing it since the first release on steam with cv1, on quest it still really shine.
fun... good workout. The avatar stuff is blah and they're ugly - but who cares. It's really nice how I can see my surroundings in mixed reality while playing. I also like that (like some other tennis games) I don't have to joy stick or teleport around to get to the ball. I'm really having fun lobbing a light hit just over the net to win. = )
Fun Tennis Game. The tennis feeling is really good! Some physics are a bit improvable or have to get used to but designer is very supportive. Also be sure to play around with the GRIP setting, for me it helped a LOT. In the grip setting the hand vs grip can be set to a variety of positions even 'off the racket grip' region. Also try to keep your tennis technique if you already play tennis (stand, swing etc) and not be tempted to play it like table tennis ;) Move those legs, too. Dont hit the ceiling :)
1 star for FUN, 5 Star for FRUSTRATION. The launch of 4.05 has seen the worst version of FPT yet, and the developers just don’t want to listen to feedback. I have absolutely no idea why the developers of this game I have played every day for the last 5-months would do a major update to 4.0 on Jan 2023 with new physics and then do this again 2-months later. The beta period was to quick and the feedback given, dismissed by ego. He wrote on Discord, "Arcade requires no skill", and "his focus is on the professional player, not the general public." This is offensive and extremely arrogant, considering that 90% of his paying customers play arcade and are either ex-athletes with injuries, the elderly, and non-tennis players of all age groups who buy this game to have fun, relieve stress, and dont want that RL tennis experience. Why even have this game on the meta sales platform in this case? 5 months ago, I gave this 5 stars, and now 5 months on, I can only give this 1 star. 1 Star for fun, 5 Star for frustration. His reasons for the update that has made this game unplayable.."physics is more realistic"! Really? Is it? The fundamentals of tennis dont change and player technique is a huge factor. Wouldn't a game be better with one release that has been tested properly and satisfies both Simulation and Arcade players? Why not wait until you have the final version complete before lauching? Understanding your market in any game is essential. Rushing development and going live was a huge error in judgement. So unless the original launch was done too quickly, I fail to see why 2 more were required.
Due to my knowledge of this game, the private messages I received from the developer and the discord channel discussions that breach meta rules, he has decided to ban me from a game I have paid for and now dont have access too. Although I no longer wish to play this game in its current form, restricting my ability to access the game breaches developer conduct rules.
Yes maybe but not for me. I put 4 stars because it’s clearly good, but it’s not for me. I played for about half an hour and hit about 3 balls, I missed basically everything and lost every single match / game. Always missed every backhand. Just felt like it would be an investment of a lot of time to get comfortable with it. Then also it didn’t feel like excercise at all, unlike almost every other sports game. Maybe if you had enough room you could run but if not your only really waving one arm at the ball.
On A Rainy Day, Beats Not Playing At All. I've enjoyed playing this game sporatically now in the past year and appreciate the updates impoving its performance. I'm an avid doubles player and this simulates tennis play fairly well. My one complaint at this point to the developer..give us a female avatar. Ccome on now. its 2020 and WOMEN are in VR playing too.
UPDATE: 2/28/22 Changing my review from 4 to 5 stars because First Person Tennis is the BOMB!! Mikori the developer has done a phenomenal job in improving the physics and game play in this app. For IRL tennis players its great fun, exercise and competitive. I'm loving this so much more now and working on improving my simulation game play skills which is significantly more difficult than the arcade style mode. Most times no problem with multiplayer matches now and the discord app is readily available to discuss general topics, suggestions, bug fixes, and find a player. I'm a long time Rift CV1 user and FPT is definitely my go to game now for exercise and fun and I'm also able to choose amongst several female avatars. Get this if you want to play tennis that feels quite real, burn some calories, beat up on Stan Warwrinka and travel the world to win your first (and only) tournament.
The best VR game experience. Very realistic, especially simulation mode. Being able to play with friends is a real buzz. Developer continues to improve the product. Choice of server has improved responsiveness and realism. AI mode is also excellent although would be even better if there were more gradations of difficulty. Overall this is my favourite VR game.

Fun Arcade Game, physics are far off. Would be a nice game, but has not much to to with real Tennis physics. Nor arcade or simulation mode. Especially force but also direction, slice, serve.. FAR off. And since one playing real life tennis tries automatically to make moves right, the game punishes you. Very frustrating. Game decides fore or backhand.. etc.
Great game tennis physics spot on. Really good game, if played tennins before u will be amazed at how real life like it in in sim mode, new players should start on acade mode as learning curve is hard
Good game with some room for improvement. Very nice and fun Tennis game. The performance is very good and the physics are the best I have seen in a Tennis VR game. The AI opponents are smarter than those from other Tennis VR games I have tested which makes it a lot more fun to play. Only two things I think could be improved are the teleport and speed of the ball. I am not happy with how I am positioned to the ball and when you hit the ball, even with very little power, it gets really fast, which is not how the ball behaves in real life. Overall a great game for playing Tennis at home, but not quite like playing on a real court.
