From Emmy Award winning Oculus Story Studio comes Dear Angelica, a journey through the magical and dreamlike ways we remember our loved ones. Entirely painted by hand inside of VR, Dear Angelica plays out in a series of memories that unfold around you. An immersive, illustrative short story starring Geena Davis and Mae Whitman.
Mesmerising! VR storytelling often doesn't do anything that couldn't be just as easily done in plain old 2D, but this surrounds and engulfs you with beautiful visuals, drawing you in as you follow (literally and figuratively) the story in a way that no other medium can. More, please!
INCREDIBLE. It is so poignant! It does in a little over 10 mins what some movies can't do in 3 hours. All while making you feel like you are inside a painting that moves. It is so artistically made. There are no words to describe how beautiful it is.
The only confusing bit was the beginning since as other reviewers mentioned it seems to start paused so you have to press a button to unpause it. Other than that it was perfect, emotional and an amazing experience. 20/10.
Beautiful film. Stunningly beautiful 3D art, great sound & music, touching story. Features viewing experience options ("Walking" or seated) and 360 degree viewing experience. One of the best VR short films available right now - a must watch!
One of the greats. Certainly excellent. I avoid listening to the story in this kind of apps, though, because I am dead inside and cannot be made to feal, or else I will die on the outside, but that's my fault.
