　「ETERNAL SPRING (長春) VR」は‏、‎中国で宗教迫害を生き延びた実在の人物の世界に入り込むバーチャルリアリティ・アニメーション・ドキュメンタリーである。
　2024年カナダ・スクリーン・アワードのベスト・イマーシブ・エクスペリエンス賞にノミネートされたこ‏の‎12分間のインタラクティブ・ドキュメンタリーは‏、‎単体でも楽しめると同時に、2023年アカデミー賞®にカナダから正式出品され、世界6大陸の86の映画祭で上映され、26の賞を受賞した長春アニメーション・ドキュメンタリーに新たな一面を加えている。
　90年代半ばの長春市。
　ジン・シュエチェは‏、‎早朝に故郷の公園を埋め尽くす瞑想者たちが行う仏教の法輪功のゆったりとした動きに惹かれていた。
　1999年、共産党政権が法輪功の修煉を禁止したとき、ジンは国営メディアが彼の信仰とコミュニティを誹謗中傷するのを黙って見ていられなかった。
　しかし‏、‎悲惨なことに、声を上げれば逮捕される危険性がある。

“ETERNAL SPRING (長春) VR” is an animated virtual reality documentary that brings you inside the world of a real-life survivor of religious persecution in China. Nominated for Best Immersive Experience at the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards, this 12-minute interactive documentary works as a standalone experience while also adding a new dimension to the animated documentary feature ETERNAL SPRING (長春), which was Canada’s official 2023 Oscar® submission and has played in 86 film festivals on six continents, earning 26 awards.

In mid-nineties Changchun City, Jin Xuezhe is drawn to the slow-moving exercises of the Buddhist Falun Gong discipline, whose early morning meditators fill the parks of his hometown. When the communist regime bans the popular practice in 1999, Jin is unwilling to sit by as disinformation in the state media maligns his faith and community. Tragically, however, speaking out brings the risk of arrest—and worse.

This eye-opening experience of empathy and impact gives audiences a rare opportunity to immerse themselves in the subject of a documentary through original recorded testimony and vivid artwork from acclaimed Chinese illustrator Daxiong (Star Wars, Justice League comics).
