This Game is Great! This Game is great on Rift and Rift S just not on Quest 2. It is playable but no touch controller Support on Quest 2 witch is sad because this game has really cool environments. I own ultra chess but I prefer this game it just has a better design and feel. If they would add support for quest 2 touch controllers It would be perfect!
No controllers hahaha. There is legit no controller support, you press buttons by turning your head toward them and waiting 3 seconds to click. VRChat has better chess worlds than this whole app. There are hands in the title image and feature list says touch controller support but it straight up doesn't have it.
Everyones wrong about contoller support. They're all saying there's no controller support.. acually.. it does. The probem is your hands are INVISABLE.. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT..takes for ever to move by staring at your side of the board.. even worse when you're trying to hover your hand over them trying to highlight it.. even worse when some of them just float where you let go and wont go back to the board.. this game is actually garbage.
Controllers don't work. I was hoping to be able to move pieces by hand but you can't. In fact, it doesn't even seem to recognize my Quest 2 controllers. I have to make selections by staring at something. It's ashame because the game looks beautiful.
Controllers. No controllers at all. Would be nice game if you could move pieces with hands instead of head. Not worth installing until controllers start working.
nice, but.. I do find this interesting..but one small problem... I dont have any friends to play with so I think having some matchmaker function would be helpful...
Seems abandoned, sadly. This game would be so good if some of the most vital features would have been developed to their conclusion. Why put so much effort into a chess game with beautiful environments and then flake out on finishing up the multiplayer quick match feature or oculus touch controller support?
Still not working. As you may have seen in the dozens of 1 star reviews before me the game does not work. It may look good or promising at first glance but as soon as i played my 2nd game it started to get bad. Now I can’t even play AT ALL, my controllers don’t register in the game so there is no way of moving the pieces. This game is a pity.
Great potential. Great potential. If only it supported the rift s controllers because my neck hurts from having to move the pieces with the headset.

Super Chill.

Super Chill. A very good an relaxing way to play chess on VR. The AI is fun an all but it compares nothing to human logic and experience. Online matchmaking is a must have IMO, others might disagree but for me its a must. I would happily pay for this game if online MM was present
Very good gameplay. This game is very well thought out - the settings are sumptuous, the boards and pieces are excellent, the gameplay is fast and accurate. The only thing you have to watch is that your piece's exit square is blue when you pick it up, and your destination square is blue when you set it down, otherwise the game loses itself. Suyitable for beginners especially, but as a reasonable player I've tired of beating it so easily and yearn for an update. Its openings repertoire seems surprisingly weak, the AI seeks to simplify even if it means losing exchanges, although oddly enough it does come up with some clever ideas in the middle game sometimes. Please let's have a '10' Level that is a 10 Level. Otherwise, extremely well done really.
Peaceful, Needs online matchmaking. Overall, extremely peaceful way to play chess. The AI is chess AI. If this game had well implemented online matchmaking, I'd pay $20 or more for it because it is so enjoyable to play OTB and its tough to replicate that experience sometimes.
Looks and feels awesome but bad bugs. Couldn't even play two full games with my friends. Somehow we were both seeing two completely different boards with pieces placed in different places. Both games ended in the game being so messed up we could no longer move any pieces.
Showstopping bugs. Experiment 7 states on their website that they have "an uncompromising commitment to product quality" yet all i see mostly in these reviews are bugs, bugs, and more bugs and frustrated users with showstopping, game-breaking glitches with no response from Experiment 7 at all. So, what you read on their website is basically rhetoric.
I could not complete a game, major glitches when moving a piece. (illegal moves, game stops, could not continue) A real pity, i was enjoying the experience a lot, the environments are simple but well made, and the gameplay itself is satisfying. Just a shame that clearly Experiment 7 have abandonded their users.
