Read my review. I think initially I may inadvertently turned the headphones off (with the hand gestures up to each ear) because I couldn’t for the life of me work out how to cue anything. Explaining the cue properly almost needs to be the very first lesson. But...20 minutes in absolutely loving it!! Also. Shrinking the deck size back down to 100% really helps the emersion. After Reading through the developers replies about holding the trigger and the grip for more fine control and the Learning of the reset button I’ll have to jump back in. But seriously. Give yourselves a massive pat on the back. This has to be the best “simulator” for djing. Awesome job guys can’t wait to fill the quest up with my own songs and spend some long nights on this one.
If you DJ or want to learn this is legit. If you already know how to DJ learning the controls for this should be relatively intuitive. After a short time getting used to the interface and controls I was already mixing tracks as if i was on real equipment. The magic comes in when you check out the live DJ tutorials from all the awesome Mentors happening daily. I was immediately greeted with a great community that taught me the ins and outs and special tricks of DJing in VR. I proudly tell others I use this for practice when i dont have professional equipment available to play on. This is a real game changer if you want to learn how to DJ. All the tools are right there in front of you with the software. If you're open to learning in a social environment with others you can legitimately learn the skills it takes to DJ and i have no doubt those lessons can be transfered to the real world. I learned how to DJ while hanging out in a friends bedroom or living room with others. sharing our favorite music and trading turns on the decks. Playing this app gives me the same feels i got from those times.
Can't start the game... Everytime I start this game with my quest 2 it plays the music in the background but i just get a black screen and can't even start the game..
*Was* an amazing app for learning to DJ. UPDATED REVIEW:
So I opened the app for the first time in a while (I bought myself a DDJ-400 after having so much fun in Tribe) and found that almost everything is locked behind a subscription now. You get one mixer / deck set (non-Pioneer) and you can only load a total of five songs before a message pops up telling you to get a subscription.
This really is a slap in the face, given that I paid nearly $50 AUD for this just over two years ago. It would be nice if people who paid full price before it went "free to play" could at least get what they had back (that being unlimited tracks and the basic Pioneer decks / mixere). I also see there's a "lifetime subscription" which adds these features back, but it's $289 AUD. Why would I want to pay $289 on top of the $46 I already paid, simply so I could get back all of what I had before (with a handful of extras)?
I'm leaving my original review below so others can see what a good product this once was.

Original review:
I'd been fascinated with DJing for years, but didn't know a thing about how it all worked. I watched a YouTube video or two, then wondered if there was something on the Quest, like DJ Hero or something I could play to scratch an itch, so I searched.
What I found instead was Tribe XR, which gave me a complete DJ experience with 1:1 replicas of actual hardware. I could load up songs from my own collection, mix them, apply filters, loop beats and set up cues for easy looping, just like on real Pioneer hardware.
The tutorials were extremely helpful, showing me what all the buttons did, and walking me through mixing my first two songs together. After spending some evenings just messing around while watching YouTube videos on advanced mixing techniques, I feel confident enough in my abilities, and I'm planning my first livestream.
I also feel confident enough that if someone were to put a real set of decks in front of me, I could probably start mixing right away.
great and easy to use. but i can load any song to my decks since it says that I need to suscribe to load them, but Ive tried and says to suscribe in quest. Im on Rift S. What should I do?
Subscription is needed to use it. I saw this on the store with no price but with a note saying there will be in-app purchases, so I assume it will be maybe songs packs, guides or skins but it seems it is a subscription base app. It mention nowhere on the store page... Not only that, but it also requires an account before even trying the app, so...
wanted to learn. ive always wanted to learn how to dj and this is the perfect alternative to the real thing. after learning the basics for a bit, im about ready for a subscription
IRL DnB DJ here! Long story short! I do DJing from a silly setup like DDJ-200 + WEDJ on Android to full club profesional equipement like used in this software! I personaly use this to practice IRL sets or try the 6 deck feature to play a bit more!
I'd reccomend this to anyone who wants to experience more to DJing since you can use from 2 decks to even 6! If you're just starting out it might seem difficult but it's because you're working with profesional equipement, not beginner controller stuff. There are great workshops to start out and understand how to mix, but I'd also reccomend you go on YT and do some learning too! Too many styles out there so you learn what you want exactly and try to copy it ingame yourself! ALSO BIG RECCOMENDATION! GET REKORDBOX AND LEARN TO USE IT! You can analize your tracks better, set hot cues, fix the grid and everything else with it! Also be sure to check out all the control options as many people don't know a lot of stuff. Like with the second trigger (mid figer) you can ajdust your grab to low sensitivity and adjust what you need with better precision!
They are constantly making the game better so I'm really excited what the future holds for this!
Also BIG UP! Join their discord as there is a lot of people chatting and talking there!
