utt Window is the first mixed reality putting simulator designed specifically for use with a real golf ball and putter. Unlike other putting apps that rely solely on virtual controllers, Putt Window delivers a groundbreaking, tactile experience that combines the real feel of putting with the visual feedback of mixed reality on your Quest 3 or 3S.
This is not just a game — it’s a true practice tool for serious golfers. Step into a virtual putting green while standing in your living room, and stroke real putts using your own equipment. Watch the ball roll in your real space and seamlessly transition into the virtual environment. It’s the closest thing to real putting practice without leaving home.
To use the real ball mode, you'll need:
A real putter A real golf ball (solid white or colored works best) At least 2 feet of putting surface (carpet or putting mat) A backstop or cushion to prevent the ball from rolling away Good lighting in the hitting area for accurate tracking Prefer a more casual experience? You can also play using your Quest Touch Controllers — but the full magic is in the real ball mode, where your physical stroke and contact truly matter.
If you’ve ever wished you could practice your putting more meaningfully at home, Putt Window is the first and only solution of its kind. Try it today and feel the difference.

True innovation for the Quest 3. I'm addicted to Golf+ and also Walkabout Golf, so the sale price for this app was tempting. I had low expectations, imagining that there would just be a flat putting mesh network that would quite quickly bore. How wrong I was! This app simulates real contoured greens in Endless mode, and you can set parameters in practice mode. Only one glitch: the parameter sliders are a bit temperamental. Ball tracking excellent (white ball on blue floor). Greens difficult to read but maybe its because I'm coming from Golf+ which uses a slightly different system. (I putt well Golf+ but only very average in real life - my weakness is reading greens). I'd like the option to quickly overlay/remove the grid mesh in this app. This might enable a finer mesh to be used so that reading green contours might feel more realistic. An option to view putts from 90, 180 270 and then back to 0 degrees (perhaps by touching thumb and forefinger) would also be good. Also, perhaps, a setting which by default shows you an aim point for each putt? Mixed reality was great - love how the putting green could fill up an entire side of wall, with a virtually seamless portal. Am I right to think that Stimp in Endless mode is whatever it is set as in Practice ? This simulation has lots of potential, but even as is, it's an experience every real-life golfer should try. I can't wait to see how the app develops.Update: after experimenting with turning grid off, it is very, very difficult to discern contours accurately. 2-3 foot putts with large breaks also impossible to read due to mixed reality intruding. I am learning AimPoint, which requires you to sense' slope kinetically. Not possible with this app, but would be useful if it displayed %slope at 25%, 50% and 75% along putting line. Then I can calculate aimpoint myself.
Real Ball tracking. Very neat concept, and the basics of the app seem well enough laid out, but I had problems getting the real ball tracking working at first. The yellow tracking dot was flickering, making me wonder if lighting was an issue. I found that the white markings on the perfect practice mat I was using were confusing the tracking and that going to a solid color surface solved the problem. It works great now. When configuring a practice area to change hole distance, etc, there is no confirmation that the change has taken place on the dashboard. You have to look at the putting green to confirm the changes have taken place. (Changing hole distance or break).Getting comfortable with hand gestures to change settings for different practice holes is very helpful so you don't have to mess with controllers.Otherwise a great app and a great value. The infinite play provides a lot of diversity to putting practice beyond a basic mat. It's great to try a longer putt then have to putt out and finish. Much better feel than putting on my SIM with l launch monitor and projector/screen. The goggles can be a bit heavy, but I have the aftermarket strap that makes them more comfortable. Highly recommended. Can't wait the year or two for AR Glasses support. Not sure if this would work with 3DOF or whether it requires the 6 that Quest has.
Excellent. I've been wanting to build a putting green for a while now but haven't yet because of the price and space it takes up. I saw this app featured on uploadvr and it was a no brainer to download. Off the bat, I noticed that the system didn't recognize the ball above my carpet because my carpet was a little too close to the color of the ball. I ended up placing the ball off on top of dark mat to ensure the contrast was good enough and from there, everything worked very well.Overall, it's pretty incredible. The UI, while it can use a bit of a face lift and hand tracking isn't perfect, is intuitive enough. The tracking feels accurate and the mixed reality nature of everything is awesome. Having your wall turn into a window to a putting green is one of those things I love about this technology. In it's current form, it's solid and worth more than what they're asking. Despite it being solid, I'm really hoping they expand on the overall experience.Suggestions to the dev team:-add detailed putt stats (ball speed, launch direction, distance, putter path and impact angle if possible)-add real course greens and a more detailed background environment-gamify the experience by adding additional games/multiplayer. The opportunities for mini games are completely endless. just make sure to avoid making it cheesy.
This has real potential! I just played it for 45 minutes straight. The first 10 minutes I spent calibrating the ball and the environment. After that, I tried out various putts. It’s seriously fun, and I just wanted to keep putting! It works really well if you don’t place the ball stop too far away, so you can use the putter to roll the ball back each time. At some point, I got the feeling that this game has huge potential and absolutely needs further development. Not because it doesn’t work – it does – but because I’d love a multiplayer putting competition! Or how about the idea of doing tee shots in the garden that land in a virtual environment? Okay, maybe I’m dreaming – but hey, I’m allowed to dream, right? In any case: please, please keep working on this. I’m already giving you five stars for the idea and gameplay!EDIT: I just played it another 45 minutes. I can't stop. Even it's v0.3!
great start. just had my first session on it. Very impressive. Been playing golf plus for years and this is better putting practice . suggestions going forward: the hand tracking for adjusting settings is awful. the virtual ball doesn't quite appear quick enough , slightly breaks emersion but not badly. But overall it's great.
