Terrible. This game is not really in a genera that i play much, but i was still able to enjoy some parts of the game. The biggest problem for me was the unskippable cutscenes which i frankly found very boring as i did not feel invested in the story at all, however it did have my favourite thing in games: GAMBLING
Has potential to be a 5 but... I started playing but couldn't get past level 4. Finished the level and it didn't do anything. So in order to redo it I have to do the claw machine all over again. Which cost more coins. I really like the game but the claw machine before every level is annoying. I like the puzzles way better. And in level 4 the height is off and won't readjust. When I climb the wall I can't see over it to finish second time I played it which is why I give it 2 stars. I understand early access but For $15 should be way better. Update: Also going through the reviews I see where devs respond to 4 stars and positive comments but not others. So I'm taking it down to 1 star at this point.
Cute and fun challenge. Well now, let me tell you a bit about this cute little game.So you start off as a Park Ranger, (tell me that doesn’t seem like the coolest, most calming job ever…and I actually know one! Weird irony, I know…) whose sweet pup Is missing and you head out to go find the little guy. Turns out that there is this evil scientist who is taking animals and turning them into the little plushies, so you need to find these little cuties and save them. What’s really cute is the sweet bear you come across in the woods who’s grabbing a little snooze who, when you pet him, wakes and runs away. But, you follow him, pull him out of a hole and befriend him…(or should I say “BEARfried” him? Ha! See what I did there? Ya know…Bear instead of…ok yeah…ummm never mind…)…so he leads you the scientist’s various labs where the plushies are in a big ol’ claw machine for you to rescue.Ok. So. Let’s just say the only “claws” I want associated with me might be in the descriptions my exes use when…oh wait…TMI… sorry… ahem…The claw machine is never what I’m gonna be making a beeline to, anywhere, because the utter frustration of those things drives me insane, lol. Now this one…it’s fun, but sometimes I would grab a little guy only to have it slip out and then suddenly I was the Hulk! But, I do enjoy the challenge! And so will you! This claw is fun and you will love it! Just remember to get as many bears as you can because those are extra lives and you’re gonna need them in between the labs when you get to the platforming part of the game. That part of the game is where you’re now controlling the bear, and are going to be jumping around on the beautiful grassy little hills and cliffs, and trying to not only break honey pots and crates to gather coins, (which you will need for the claw machine and other things), but also you will find the little animals that are being held captive, and you’ll need to save them there as well. All of this, put together with some little puzzles to get you into the labs themselves, really offer up a fun and enjoyable experience. And as I know this game may seem like it’s meant for younger folks, as an adult who admittedly loves watching cartoons, (yes, even as friends doth mocketh me greatly), I really found myself having a great time. This was a fun experience for me, and I appreciate the challenges involved that weren’t insurmountable, (as sometimes many games tend to make them), allowing me to move forward while feeling a sense of accomplishment. So frankly, I’d say this is a fun game for all ages and if you are a family that loves to play VR games together, although this isn’t a multiplayer, I would say it’s definitely something to add to your game library, because it is suitable for all ages and I’m sure everyone in the clan would find enjoyment in playing it. Hey…your kids may even start asking for a pet bear instead of a puppy for Christmas! (Ha! Have fun with THAT one Mom and Dad!)…Have fun and enjoy!
Fun platformer. This is a fun platformer with some minor collecting elements, the levels are broken up into nice small segments. In between the platforming there are some short puzzles as well as a crane game to help break up the action. Would recommend to anyone looking for a platform experience, this is also a cute style family friendly game for anyone who is looking for games in that style.
A claw machine in VR!!! Bearly Escape is impressive for a game that's still under development (early access). This single-player adventure puzzle game is presented from a blend of first-person and third-person perspectives. Your mission is to rescue adorable animals who’ve been turned into plush toys by an evil scientist. You step into the shoes of a Forest Ranger, which is basically like being a superhero but with more flannel and fewer capes. Your trusty sidekick, an old hound who’s gone mysteriously AWOL (probably chasing squirrels), has left you with nothing but a reconnaissance drone equipped with a grabbing claw. Yes, a claw machine, but instead of winning cheap toys, you’re actually saving your furry friends. To break into Dr. Kidd’s secret labs, you’ll need to solve puzzles that are so simple even a toddler could crack them (but let’s be honest, toddlers are basically geniuses). Each time you rescue a plushie from the claw machine in the first person perspective, you gain necessary tools and health to help you and your lil bear buddy on the platformer escapades. When in the third-person perspective, you'll guide your lil bear buddy through a platformer jungle while he encourages you to keep going. "Yeah, buddy, I’m doing my best here dodging all these traps and foes that look like they can turn you into ground up bear meat!"As you journey deeper, the claw machine cranks up the difficulty— because what’s an adventure without a little stress and rage inducing frustration? ;)The game dazzles with eye-popping visuals and colors that make your eyeballs do a happy dance. You can earn upgrades for your claw machine and bear buddy, unlocking abilities that will make you feel like the ultimate plushie whisperer. Sure, there are only 9 levels and about 2 hours of gameplay, but there's more to come.Compete and replay levels to snag the fastest completion time on the leaderboard— because, ummm, what grown man doesn’t want to brag about their cute plushie collection?
