Great, but hoping for no vignette option. Enjoying it and really like the atmosphere, but if the developers are reading this, I really hope you can add an option for no vignette. I'm moving slower than I should just to try to avoid triggering the vignette because I find them annoying and always turn them off in any game. It is great to have them as an option for people who need them, but please don't force them on people who do not want them.
Too short, not worth the money. It saddens me to wright this I had high hopes. This game had potential but it changes mid game from exploring the reef and fostering a sence of wonder to an game of industrial sabotage, and just when you think you will get back to the exploration, nope, the game just ends. It took less than two hours to complete. It tries to be both an eco warrior and educational and fails miserably at both.
It's not great, but it has potential. I completed the game yesterday. The first 15 minutes are great you see a handful of sea creatures and they look majestic but the effect quickly wares off. Once you have had a chance to observe one or two creatures you quickly realise the limitations of the Quest 3 graphics and the sea creatures don't look as majestic anymore. The game is literally about 2 hours long and consists of you swapping between a human and a robot to fix random machines by moving the parts into place and removing debris. It is split out into two parts the first hour where you explore the ocean and the second where you go into the deep dark ocean. It sort of seems like a tech demo because of how short it is. With that being said it could be quite a good game if they make another one and massively expand the game with more creatures and perhaps a bit more action like subnautica. But as it stands now the game isn't subnautica and isn't worth the time and money to play it in my opinion.
First impressions. I just hop in this game for about a hour now and I am truly blown away. The swimming control are fun a very easy to master and the ocean life is definitely a good feel and look. Lots of side missions and ocean life rescues really immerses you in this environment. Can’t wait to explore the rest of this one . Gotta go I paused the game to write this review. So far so good 😊
A realistic diving experience. Just finished the game and though it is way too short it is very realistic. I am a PADI dive master in the Red Sea and this game, especially the opening areas are incredibly similar to what I experience every day. The wrist jets that the main character uses to swim quickly are also real and so much fun in this game and real life. Although unfortunately not all of the technology in the game is available in real life right now. I am looking forward to the day I can dive with a wisecracking robot who likes fist bumps. This is a beautiful game for people who love the ocean, and for people who either can't afford to experience it in real life or are too nervous to do so.
