The majority of construction site incidents occur due to a lack of hazard awareness among workers on job sites. This lack of awareness is despite mandatory construction safety training, typically in written content (safety manuals) or images depicting hazards. To reduce job site injuries and fatalities, general contractors have started adopting Virtual Reality to impart safety training to job site personnel.
Users are required to identify these hazards within a specified time frame, with the expectation that they will be more adept at recognizing hazards on an actual job-site resulting in a fewer number of accidents.
A perfect score in Hero represents the ability to recognize a wide variety of common and uncommon hazards on the jobsite even in a busy environment. A user will need to both locate and correctly identify each hazard to achieve a perfect score.
Users have the option of connecting to an existing MindForge account to report their completion of this training. Alternatively, they can play offline without restriction. A MindForge account is not required.
