First impressions. Having been a very happy user of Google Earth VR for a while now I have only recently become aware of standalone apps using Google imagery that don't require a fairly high end PC to operate. I first tried Earthquest, which is slightly awkward to get running and needs a Google account to obtain something called an API key. This app is my most recent acquisition in the same field. The main advantage of this one is that it works straight away, and that is a huge difference for anyone who isn't particularly tech savvy. Also the controls for flying around are better on this one. However, I have found the image quality on Earthquest to be significantly better as it has settings adjustment for these factors. Earthquest also has Google Street View integration, which this one doesn't have (at time of writing). Both apps are priced at £3.99, which is very reasonable considering I paid £1000 for the laptop I use for running Google Earth VR. The full Google offering is still very much King of this domain however, with far superior graphics quality, but both this app and Earthquest are very much worthwhile alternatives for constrained budgets.
Love this. Between this and Wooorld, I don't need Google Earth natively on Quest. My biggest complaint is I really wish there was an option to follow head tracking... meaning pushing forward to move would go in the direction I'm facing (like a FPS game). Without it I get woozy fairly quick.
We want to use It not.only in english. Hello! I'd like to use It without the need to change the system language to english and to have to restart my quest 3 every time! It's a amazing app except for this.Please repair It! Thanks.
Promising start. Needs a Quest 3 update to resolution, cache could be bigger as well for higher resolution assets and to further visibility (high resolution textures fall away reasonably close to the assets) but it's a good start. Runs well, maybe offer some texture/display controls in the app.
Does not work on my headset. The flight to the chosen destination never ends. No matter what I try, I can't see anything. My Internet connection is fine. 3 stars because I still hope for a solution
Does not work. Game cant downloaded the destination where i want :(
The app is stuck at the map loading screen, then nothing happens.
Update: no i have no internet connection issue, everything is working exept this app which does not load any map, i'm stuck with this pink bubble floating above some blue low res ground, i've waited more than ten minutes several times and nothing happens.

Library of Realities.com review:. AnyWR have come the closest to providing the Google Earth VR experience on Quest, but because of the limitations of the mobile Meta Quest processor we don't find the experience to be good enough to recommend when compared to Google Earth on a flat-screen computer monitor, and definitely nowhere near as good as Google Earth VR.
Constraints on graphical detail might allow for smoother movement and rotation, but that comes at the cost of visual fidelity. Building textures, natural landscapes and three dimensional models don't resolve to a reasonable level of detail until you're near to them. Raise your your viewing position high enough above the ground and terrain will no longer draw as far as the horizon.
Movement about the scenery can be both too fast at close quarters and far too slow when trying to cover more than a couple of miles of terrain. A dynamic speed option is available in the menu but we had limited success with it - sometimes even close to ground level, movement will suddenly self-adjust to a crawl. Also, pushing forward on the joystick does not move you in the direction you're looking, but instead the direction of your initial position in the app. On a positive note we enjoyed how the movement buttons are mapped out on the controllers.
Quest owners eager for world exploration in virtual reality can surely find value in AnyWR - particularly at its current low price. Also, perhaps with further development that includes an improved user interface and better graphics that utilize the increased capabilities of the Meta Quest 3, AnyWR could one day become a leading alternative to Google Earth VR on the Quest platform.

Real standalone Google Earth experience. This is the first real standalone Google Earth experience in Oculus store, while there's already a similar APP in SideQuest called EarthQuest. So I'll compare these two. Flying is a lot smoother in EarthQuest. The graphics are at about the same level - you can't expect too much on a standalone headset. I like the blue sky background in AnyWR over the MR background in EarthQuest. AnyWR has search function while EarQuest doesn't. Like in some other games with really large maps, there seems to be a limit on how far you can see in anyWR. So when you fly high in the sky, you can't see the horizon beyond that limit. All you can see is the "event horizon" of that limit, which is not ideal. While somehow EarthQuest dosen't have this limit. In Earthquest you can see as far as the edge of the Earth. You pass through buildings and even go under ground in anyWR, which is weird. I think overall EarthQuest offers a better experience mainly because flying is smoother, no sight limit issue and doesn't go under ground. That leaves room for improvements for this APP, and I hope this APP gets better with future updates.
