Play drums without the limitations of the real world.
So much more than a VR drum kit. Learn to drum with step by step lessons, flex your skills with the built-in rhythm game, and build your own custom kit from a library of 60+ percussive instruments without the limitations of money or physical space. Fun, intuitive drumming for pros and newcomers alike!
I'm drumming impaired. I can't get passed the 3rd lesson and I've been trying to play drums for over 20 years. 😞 I can still bang on the drums for fun with this and my neighbors don't complain. Plus I didn't spend tons of money on a drum kit that I can't learn how to play. I suck but this doesn't.
Amazing! I purchased this game to sync up to my e-drum set. I am a complete drumming newbie. I can play my actual kit, and have it translate directly to the game. It's amazing. In about a week it's drastically improved my general sense of the kit, timing, and feel. Not to mention it's an absolute riot to sideload some of your favorite songs to play along to. An absolute steal if you're trying to learn, especially if you have an e kit!!
Awesome. Awesome game love it, please add a stick trick function maybe bind to x or y so we can twirl sticks in between playing, also need more mainstream songs please or more songs in general thanks love the app you guys did great job on this worth every penny
Best drums app/game. I bought this on Steam when it was still on Early Access and it was nothing more than a digital drum kit. Even back then it was good. I had not played it since.
Now I noticed it's on the Quest and it has a ton more features. It has support for kick, lessons and a rhythm game which, unlike something like Rockband, has actually a resemblance with real life. For example you will always hit the snare when you should be hitting the snare, rather than have it randomly tell you to hit the kick. So the rhythm game itself is a good way to learn how to play the drums, with levels of difficulty.
You can't roll the drums and there are some other minor things you can't easily do due to this being in VR but no other drums game comes close to this one.
Dream come true. Nothing has come close to scratching the rhythm itch of rock band 2 for me a decade ago. This game will be it. Great and easy setup, great customization and fine tuning. What's most important, obviously, are notes registering and good haptics. Both are stellar. Even in my computer chair, I've got good range of motion to play along with the included tracks. I tried out 2 rock tracks and a jazz one. I'm not great, but it's very rewarding to work my brain and hand- eye coordination again like this. I'll be beating the hardest tracks on expert before too long
Only thing that stinks is the kick pedal. You need a separate pedal for that, of course, but I'm not gonna let that get it my way of a good time or getting my hands back in the groove. Great game!
I'm a rock star! Hehe. No, I suck. But practice makes perfect and practice is fun with this game. If I had to complain: you have to set the drums every time you start a lesson. It takes less than 5 seconds, so I can live with that.
Love it! I've wanted to learn how to play drums for years, but never had the space or available cash to get started. I have no idea if it will translate into real-world skills... I hope it does, but either way I t is a lot of fun. Of the drum simulators I've tried, this is the best. I had the demo, but this is much better. Lessons, new songs, and apparently the ability to map your own songs into the app (haven't tried this yet). Don't hesitate to buy it if this is something that interests you. Great work dev!
One issue I have had is that occasionally hand tracking gets glitchy, and its location is transformed to another spot. Either it hits when it shouldn't, hits the wrong drum, or misses altogether. I imagine it has something to do with Meta Quest 2 tracking, hope it can be improved.
A must have for anybody (interested). Seriously, if you’re at all considering getting this, do it. Actually, if you’re on the fence about getting a physical kit, get this. I’m not suggesting this app would replace a physical kit, but it gets like 75% of the way there, and if you’re not even sure if you want a physical kit, this will show you. The program isn’t perfect, having some tracking issues (maybe due more to my Quest 2 than the app itself, not really sure here.) There’s no fast way to do a “lefty flip”, you have to shift everything around manually, and when you do this in the lessons, the UI is blocked by your gear; and also still suggests using your right hand for the hi-hat and left hand for the snare. Plus, things like triple-strokes don’t work because you need the rebound from a drum head for that. The “game” mode isn’t quite on, “Rock Band”’s level, I don’t think that’s what this is even meant to be. It’s more like a virtual instrument (full with midi functionality for use with whatever DAW you use if you do) heaps useful for newbies and veterans. (Also this won’t apply to everyone, but those with housemates and neighbors might appreciate that this kit is much quieter than any kind of physical kit) Thanks, devs, such a cool app you’ve made.
My New Rockband Fix For VR. I'm fairly addicted to Rockband on console and since there isn't anything like it for standalone VR this was the next best thing. I have to say I am loving it, playing the drums has never felt better and best of all you won't disturb neighbours but still feel like a drumming God. The fact this game has custom song support was the icing on the cake. I'm just gutted that there are a few custom songs I would love to see that I haven't had a way to find yet. I'm not musically talented enough to be able to map it out myself. I would also like to thank the developers for continuing the updates and look forward to trying the latest updates on my new quest 3. Keep up the great work.
