The best clinical training app on quest. Very great for fine tuning your clinical examination skills. Using it on the Quest 3 I see there are a few bugs when it comes to palpation. For example when I try to palpate different pulses the gripping function never seems to go to the right region and also doesn't seem to register that I have palpated that region on the teach function. Also hands and stethoscope are able go through the patient which also adds to the difficulty of testing specific points on the patient.
It would be cool if we could get some lab results sheets for patients or ECGs and be tested on them.
But I see the direction and can't wait to see the progress and overall there is so much good about this app so 5 Stars!
Read below. I'm giving this a 5 star, cause it's a good concept. There's a few issues that I found with this app.
1) Frame rate dips, and this results in straining of my eyes. I had to take the headset off after a few minutes.
2) Up close to any subject, it is very clear. But as soon as you move like a meter away, everything becomes really blurred. (There is a lot of shimmer on edges.)
Maybe the developer could work on anti aliasing.
3) I haven't used the app much, so I'm not sure if the application has this, but it might be a lot easier to have an index of the various stations like on a wall or on the pause menu. Where you can easily select any station.
4) I understand that the developer is trying to simulate the hospital as much as possible, but walking around a big room, or even teleporting gets a bit too tedious.
It may be better if the room was much smaller, and all the instruments are closer to you.
I'll update this list after I have my second session :P ---------------
Please don't misunderstand this review as hate! I genuinely see the potential in this app! And I'm honestly really excited to use it.
Work in progress but 5* team. In this app you can perform basic physical exams and perform cases. It is early days and features are currently limited. The app is still unpublished as of today so expectations do need to be lowered however I am happy to give 5 stars in advance. Also for the price you won't get anything better. The team is extremely responsive to feedback and are constantly working to improve this app and make it more comprehensive for features and cases. I look forward to upcoming versions of this app. I don't doubt that medvalley become part of the future for medical training!
A way to go, but heading the right way! I love checking for the little updates each week. I have a feeling it's not going to be fleshed out enough to really help with my upcoming osce. Go team!

Two Thumbs Way Up!

Two Thumbs Way Up! The game is really impressive! You can do histories and physical exams in VR. There are some limitations but they have released updates at least every other week with more OSCEs, bug fixes, and new physical exam interactions.
Also, they just added the ability to learn about certain exams and physical exam interactions so I can see how it can be really helpful to new medical learners.
Give it a couple months and we might not need medical schools anymore.
