Already out of stuff to do. I’ve just added the fifth star, after all the great additional content was added!
This game is a huge amount of fun! Great idea combining the dungeon crawler type Melee Game with a bass builder… I was literally logging on and playing this for an hour every time I go on VR…
Unfortunately I ran out of stuff to do pretty fast… There’s nothing left to buy- There’s nothing left to level up… Every single reward is gold ( they call it violence) Because I’ve already won everything… It only took me like 10 hours… I could probably keep progressing to try to get up in to the top 10, but I don’t really see the point since they’re apparently is no more leveling up or progressing that I can do..
UPDATE 11/18/2023
OK it’s a few months after I initially wrote this review and I wanted to update it because they have added a lot of stuff… My main complaint initially was that I ran out of stuff to do pretty quick… Partially because it’s so much fun that I couldn’t put it down, but I also felt like they could’ve added more… Now they have and it’s fantastic… I love the concept of the different ages and how we’re gradually developing our characters and look kind of leveling them up… So it would be nice to go past level five on stuff but that’s a nitpick.. this game has great aftermarket support from the developers and they continually add new interesting things. That’s very much appreciated because a lot of times with VR games they kind of get abandoned ala Jurassic World.
#1 insider Tip 2023, get 1 / 4 off! This is by far my top insider tip of 2023. I didn't see anything of this game and yet it's so much fun. It can be extremely challenging, but the learning curve is great and I love my new barbarian arms. It's like a perfect mix of Dungeon Keeper and Gorn. Please add a coop mode!!
Go on 25s . bio . link for 1/4 off your price. Just type it in your browser and click on the game name. If you've loved Dungeon Keeper etc. and don't mind being active yourself, you will love it for sure!
I never write reviews. This game is the first game I've ever played in VR that left me upset when my headset finally ran out of juice.
The combat is the selling point, imo. It has everything you'd want when you think of VR combat.
Gorn was one of the VR games I originally bought the quest for. It was fun, but felt a bit hit and miss regarding hit registration.
This game, however, just feels good to play. You can fight how you want.
You can throw rocks at the enemy, you can throw your weapon at them, you can fight with fisticuffs (wicked fun if you know how to box :P), and that's just one aspect of the game.
The other part is that you get to make your own arena for another player to raid and you can watch their replay on a little miniature board thing.
Tldr - one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long while. It feels fun, that's all I can say.
Game of my dreams. This game is the game I didn't know I needed. I adored Dungeon Keeper as a kid, and being able to make my own dungeon filled with death traps to spring on would be invaders is the best feeling. Not to mention invading other peoples dungeons and tearing through. I've become slightly obsessed with this since I bought it and keep coming back to it nearly daily.
Bash bash bash. And then some. Great fun I thought it would be one of them games I'd play every now and then but at the moment I'm playing this and nothing else. It's simple to get in to but becomes more challenging when setting out defences and improving your keep/castle. The combat is fairly simple but fun and raiding other players creations thoroughly enjoyable. Overall I like it that's enough writing I'm off to dismember some more goblins.
Great game. Love everything about this game. But with the quest 3 update I would have liked to see the virtual controllers look like my quest 3 controllers. No effect on game though
So fun! A few ideas devs. I can’t explain how much i love this game. Being able to build your own base for others to try and fight through is so cool. I would, however, REEEAAALLY appreciate if there was an option to save a base and build a different one. I would love to be able to build a new base without losing the old layout, and just be able to swap between the two when i please. Because I can’t save my base and try something else, I never change my base, because I don’t want to create something crappy and then forget what my old good base used to look like.
I would also GREATLY appreciate a left handed option, it would make a lot of aspects much easier for me.
Other than that, all i can say is great things about this game. It’s very challenging, you always have to be on your toes when fighting other dungeons. The game hates you, and everything in it does too, and I LOVE that. No handholding, just straight brutal, fast paced action. Because of this game I play my oculus until it dies, let it charge, and then boot up the game again. It just keeps me coming back to upgrade “one more thing”.
Everything is upgradable, your looks, your minions, your base, the defenses in your base, your weapons, the list goes on and on.
You might not even know it, but you want this game. It’s a huge mistake if it’s not dowloaded onto your VR. 10/10
Great addictive game but one issue. I love this game more than anything else in my library, but one singular issue I find personally is the dang big ahh unit that is the one thing that keeps instantly killing my units, literally level 5 zealots die to that big boy with a metal glove that rams through units and kills all of em immediately. And there's no way to block that rush attack without sustaining major damage. And where do you unlock that unit cuz that's the one thing that makes trash bases high-level bases, is that one unit that destroys your frontlines
A must play game for combat. This is an amazing game I've been playing since the game was first released, and I have to say this is a must play VR game for combat. This game gets constant updates with new features. I love the base building mechanics, and I wish that were more VR games like this one. The art style is charming, and you can tell a lot of time went into this game.
WOW! (not world of warcrap). Holy moly! Where to start? This game is like Gorn and Hero Quest had a baby. Its got the doesn't take itself too seriously style of Gorn, the "dungeon building" of Hero quest (a fun old board game that was basically watered down D&D) but the players build bases for each other to raid! I love the smell of burning Imp in the morning, the afternoon, the evening and night time...when I should be sleeping.
this game fails in one category: It gives no good fuel for the chronic complainers in the gaming community.... I had one issue post update and the dev was very accessible, patient, polite and helpful. It is a pleasure to write a good review for this brilliant game!
The BEST!!! I just purchased this after the 30 min try before you buy trial. It has everything you could ever want. Just when you think you know what you're doing, a new element to the game unlocks. I must say that I'm a little addicted and find myself jumping back into the game only to find out who has attacked me ......and then 1.5 hours later, I'm putting it down. Not many, if any, games or apps in VR have this effect. Give it a try, and you won't be disappointed!!! My in-game name is Lefty. See ya in there.
