This Game is Incredible 🎉. First of all, I really don't know the rules🚦 of the Pickleball Very well but the Tutorial which this game provides is so good that it just takes 5-10 min to know the rules of the whole game. Which is awesome and this also has a feature of Training and Fitness where I can Gear up my skills. Do you believe it also has different types of shots we have in Pickleball in the Training?🏋️
This game has 3 locomotions "Auto teleport", "AutoRun",and "Manual Run". My fav movement turns out to be "Auto Run" 🤠
And the Lovely Part is here " Fitness". Dude I can really feel the Burn by playing the Dink Dink Smash & Side to Side . I really love the idea of having music with those fitness workouts. When it comes to Mixed Reality, I really Enjoy the 'Wall Practice'. Simply I can set up the wall wherever I want and start playing 🙌.
Looking forward to having More Multiplayer Matches and wanna hangout with some new Buddies 😁 around. Overall I felt it is User Friendly and made easy to access and explore the Game 🎯
Almost great?. First off, I’m not a player IRL yet so my observations are about one obvious flaw and not physics, which seem good. My complaint is related to match mode and how it centers at each serve. If I’m leaning when it does that it moves me a little each time and after a few games I run into things lol! No big deal but I notice even if I plant my feet it recenters, so if your serving and rely on muscle memory like real life, it’s a little different each time you serve. And there doesn’t seem to be a way to adjust height in game which would be nice as often I’m too tall. Like table 11 has, drag or place a controller on the ground. But great way to learn the game and would recommend it!
Best racket sport game ever in MetaQuest. You can do all the following
1) single player ( game with an AI ) 2) Multiplayer ( 1vs1 , 2vs2 ) - you can chat with your friends and play the game . Best thing is you can spectate your friend who is playing. You can cheer them up in the game . 3) Training and fitness i ) Serve training ii) Volley practice iii) Third drop shot iV) Dink , overhead shot practice etc In Fitness i ) Dink Dink smash ( my favorite) ii) Side to side 4) Mixed reality i ) wall practice ii) AI free play ( this is soo amazing & must try )
Trust me you will love this game . Bye see you soon in the game . 😊✨
Sooo much fun. I love it. Didn't think I would, but I'm hooked. Great time playing with friends and laughing. Even playing with AI is fun. I get a lot of exercise and break a sweat. I find myself reaching, bending, and really swinging to hit the ball. Convinced our friend, who didn't think he had enough room to get it. He loves it
Great game, and alternative to tennis! The game is awesome! I like how there's movement settings of auto-teleporting, auto run or manual run for however you like to play. The nature of Pickleball means it's more likely that someone could physically walk an their space to be able to play with physical walking since it's 1/4 the size of a tennis court!
Sending a Message to The Competition! Wow! First day release in the Meta Store and I am loving it! I started playing this game when it was an App Lab game. The developers have listened to the community of OG players, and have really done a great job with all aspects of the game, and then some. I tried the Fitness option. We are talking sweat city with the One I played “Dink dink slam”. The social aspect is more diverse as new players from all around the world join this great community of players. I am looking forward to tournament play and future updates that add onto this already great Pickleball experience. Funlabs, the competition has heated up!
Excellent pickle ball game in VR👏. "I have played a few VR pickleball games, but this is the best one I've ever played. It offers perfect physics, excellent training sessions to improve our skills, and the mixed reality aspect is super cool. I love it; it's fully worth it."
Best Pickleball App. After being sidelined with a plantar faciitis issue, I stumbled onto this app and I am so glad I did! The training sessions (ball machine) works on targeting in the court. The game play is a little frustrating with the AI players - but it’s still better than not playing at all. I haven’t been able to join a live game yet - but I’m looking forward trying that out. Best money I’ve ever spent on an app!
Promising Potential, But Needs Polish. Offers a mixed bag of experiences for fans of the sport. On the positive side, the game features three distinct courts, each with its unique challenges and characteristics. These courts provide a variety that keeps things interesting for players. Additionally, the clean and straightforward menu design makes navigation a breeze.
However, the game's Achilles' heel lies in its player base—or rather, the lack thereof. Finding opponents to play against can be a frustrating and often fruitless endeavor. This issue severely impacts the game's overall enjoyment, as Pickleball is inherently a multiplayer sport, and the absence of players dampens the experience.
Moreover, the movement mechanics within the game are less than ideal. Players may find themselves struggling to move smoothly around the court, which can be quite off-putting. This detracts from the immersion and enjoyment of the game.
Perhaps the most frustrating aspect is the UX surrounding multiplayer games. Initiating a multiplayer match is a convoluted and confusing process. The steps involved are far from intuitive, leading to unnecessary frustration. Improving this aspect of the game's user experience should be a top priority for the developers.
Lastly, the physics of the ball in Pickleball VR leave much to be desired. The ball's behavior does not always align with real-life expectations, which can be frustrating for players trying to master the game's mechanics.
In conclusion, Pickleball VR has potential with its diverse courts and clean menu design, but it falls short in crucial areas. The lack of players, unfavorable movement mechanics, frustrating UX for multiplayer, and less-than-ideal ball physics detract from what could be a much more enjoyable virtual Pickleball experience. Future updates and improvements are needed to bring this game up to par with player expectations.
Fun game & need pass through OPTIONS. First, thank you developers for this great VR game, I enjoyed playing very much. Suggestions, can we have the pass through function in the gameplay if possible, able to see the floor surface of the court while playing the game, because able to see the real floor surface while you are running after the ball is much better safety to play in this type of recket game in VR if possible. Check out these games first person vr tennis , court time tennis, and badminton battle, all allowed pass through game play to see the floor surface of the court. ❤️👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Please build the pass through options into this great game if possible. Yes, I do recommend this game for everyone to enjoy. Thank you.
Good so far, room for improvement. It would be nice if you could use the hands only feature that Oculus has so that you could hold your own paddle which has the same weight and feel. Accuracy is a little off. Moving about the court is still kind of awkward. Sometimes when I meeting to try to hit something I can't get to where I need to be to hit it
A work in progress with potential. There are a lot of of bugs being worked out but it’s still pretty cool. Things I like: being able to play pickleball with people from all over in the comfort of my own home. Knowing that I’m supporting new app development with a sport that I love. Join the discord group to find matches- I understand that sometimes they even do tournaments with real prizes. Things that need a lot of work: Ball physics, offline play, being able to do a live match with others online without friending and with ease, the fact that your partner AI is always a worse player than those opposing you are all frustrating at times. I’ve hit the ball super hard to have it not cross the net at times and others a small hit sends it soaring. Also, needs to have height adjustment feature working with the accessibility options on the oculus for wheelchair and seated play for those with disabilities. But, they are aware and working on all those things. I look forward to seeing this game grow.
Pickleball in VR! Learn and have fun! Playin Pickleball is amazing! If you like pickleball at all, you'll love this game.
You can: * Play singles vs an AI bot or a real person * Play doubles with AI bots, real people, or a combination * Practice serving * Hit against a ball machine * Watch and cheer on your friends love matches
Control: * Auto-teleport - the game positions you close to take the hit * Auto-Run - similar to auto teleport except movement is more natural and gradual * Manual Run - use your controller joystick or manually walk/run around the court.
Paddles: * Variation of paddle shapes to select * Currently two Gearbox paddles to choose from
I recommend joining the game's discord channel. There is an active and daily play group that coordinates playing. You can randomly find people online as well. Do not use the single or ranked matchmaking yet, the player base is still growing and not ready for it. Come join us and it will be. Again, if you're a pickleball fan, you will not regret this purchase.
I was the gold medalist in the singles tournament sponsored by Gearbox Pickleball! This game dev and Gearbox flew me to California to watch the Newport Beach Doubles Shootout in April 2023. Both Playin Games and Gearbox were incredible throughout the whole process and I'm grateful for the tournament. It was truly an incredible experience. Get this game. Buy a Gearbox paddle. Have some fun!
This is the one - great community too. I've been playing real life Pickleball for the past two years, and it's been a great way for me to stay active and have fun with friends of all ages, including my parents who are seniors. Playin Pickleball is a game that captures the essence of the sport and its wonderful community.
As someone who plays at a 3.5 level in real life, I've tried all the different VR pickleball games available, and I can say with confidence that Playin Pickleball is the best one out there. It's well-designed and user-friendly, with multiplayer, single-player, and practice modes, as well as a nice big interface for configuring your options. Even my dad, who is a self-described technophobe, became comfortable with the game quickly and now plays with his friends all the time.
One of the things that really sets Playin Pickleball apart is the amazing community on Discord. They have daily drop-ins organized by other players, tournaments for all skills levels, and friendly people who have become my friends through my interactions with them. It's a great place to connect with other players and get tips on how to improve your game.
Overall, Playin Pickleball is an excellent VR pickleball game that I highly recommend to anyone who loves the sport or wants to give it a try. It's the perfect way to enjoy Pickleball from the comfort of your own home.
Swing into shape with Pickleball. This is the most fun I have ever had in a VR racket / paddle game.
Playin Pickleball has some of the best physics I have seen in a racket / paddle game. The impact of the ball, the angle you hit, the bounce of the ball, it all feels so real. Not just the control and movement of the ball, but the sounds as well. Every swing just felt great.
The game is very easy to learn and play and 3 levels of difficulty. The game also supports three styles of movement. Auto Teleport, Auto Run and my favorite Manual Run. The game has a comfort level of movement for everyone. I love the Manual Run. You can use the control stick to have free locomotion all over the court or you can use room scaling to actually move around in the game, which gives you are great workout.
You can play the game single player or multiplayer, competitive or casual. I really enjoyed just hangout in the court practicing my swing with the ball machine. It got me up and moving and in the zone.
If you are looking for a great new sports game to play, Pickleball is what you need. Swing into shape this Spring with Playin Pickleball.
Premature Game Release 🥒. This game still has many bugs around their matchmaking and overall user experience. The physics are average at best and dont mimic IRL pickleball play. Youre basically hovering to the best place on the court to field balls that have no spin, pace or placement. No ATPs, no lobs, and certainly no Ernes. If you want to strengthen your swatting skills, it is a fit, but no rocket league for me. There is a core community of about twenty people who are knowledgable and nice, but only a quarter of them play IRL, making for an often dull interaction. Overall if you seek the real feel of the game with the angles and pace, this isnt the one. Add the bugs and annoying low poly environments, you get a single ⭐️ from me. Dont get pickled on this one. 🥒🥒🥒

And I gotta say, I’ve got Pickleball feva!! It’s not 100% there yet, but it’s updated a ton and it’ll be perfect any day I imagine. Give it a try if your liking to learn a new sport or are already a pickelball lover
