How do you watch?. When I go to view the show, it says something has happened and is unable to proceed. I haven’t been able to see anything, so for me this is worthless. Using a Quest 2.
Posh enough for me. Some kinda music show social platform. Doesn't matter. I liked the hub environment, and that's what I judge these fly-by-night VR metaspheres.
Still have to listen to jerks talking. I connected to the Muse show okay. Could look higher def, I suppose. But you included the one thing I hate about going to shows, standing next to and behind other people and having to listen to them chat louder than the performance. Why was this necessary to do?
Gave it a second chance with the preview this morning. Someone's avatar was standing directly on top of me! Boy, I thought real people were annoying, but having pieces of an avatar phasing in and out in my line of vision as they move makes me long for the days of a 6-foot guy standing in front of me. WHY is this even possible???? I'm out!

Pretty cool! (and currently for free). Just watched the demo content, and the effect is pretty well realized with the 360 degree 3D camera rigs. Not as much depth or clarity as you'd hope for, but still better than the typical flat 360 bubbles that have been the norm for these virtual events in the past. You can spot the 360 degree camera rig from some of the viewpoints, and I'd almost like to see a tech "Behind the scenes" into how this all comes together. First show starts in a half hour for free. Can't beat that. Not sure what it would be worth if not free, but interesting none the less.
UPDATE: Watched the first Muse show. Very cool. It did take a few retries to get in, and it looked like there were over 1,000 people connecting at the very start, so I imagine it's growing pains. Once I was in, it was pretty great. You are in a room with 10 or so others. Would be very fun to get a group of friends and join in together. I highly recommend going to the Map and choosing the "Follow the Action" option. They have a lot more camera angles than the few static spots they let you choose around the stage and it edits between them really well. A really cool experience. After each song it would force me to lock into one of the static cameras again and I would have to switch back to the "Follow the Action" auto view cam, but otherwise a really cool way to experience it. Definitely check it out for this Muse show. It's a lot of fun, for free, and a lot better than previous attempts at 360 degree flat static camera concerts in my experience.
Awesome but definitely needs tweaks. I love the ease of use and the sound quality / image quality is fine for me. The main issues I have so far are 1) instantly being added to a 'party' of strangers 2) having people jump in and out of the 'party' 20 times a second and be notified each time they do with a huge popup notification I have used quite a few apps for virtual events and this one has promise, but you seriously need to do less to break immersion constantly.
Still have to listen to jerks talking. I connected to the Muse show okay. Could look higher def, I suppose. But you included the one thing I hate about going to shows, standing next to and behind other people and having to listen to them chat louder than the performance. Why was this necessary to do?
App won't start. The concept sounds nice and I would like to enjoy the muse experience, however, when launching the app, it tells me I need to update it, but there is no update available.
The best experience ever !!! I don’t get the bad reviews. This is new, it cannot be flawless. The definition is not the same as what you would get with a blu-ray using a HD screen, I see a lot of people complaining about that, but in fact it could not be better, especially when it is in 3D - as it is, the higher quality I got was enough for me to enjoy every single moment of the show and get hypnotised, it was magical. You just have to be aware of the limitations of the technology itself. Of course, as I have an average connection, I did experience some quality variations, sudden losses, or a few freezes - but even all of this ran smoothly, nothing more than half a second. So yes, the image sometimes switched from 3D to 2D, or got blurry for a little while. But I could feel everything had been thought to give me the best experience ever - and this is what I got. I did not even really know Muse before, and I just wanted to try the app to see what a show could become if it was aired on VR. And it is outstanding. It gave me the chills, I felt like I could see everything better than if I had been there. Do not get me wrong, I am not saying VR should ever replace real shows, but it is such a nice way to share it with people who could not be there. I could watch this again and again - I think I will, actually. And I could pay the price of a ticket for this, honestly. Remember that it is just the early stage of VR technology, so there are limitations, but when you see what has been done here already… Wow ! It is definitely a good start. I hope one day the tech will allow to download the whole video at once so that it runs even better - but I get that right now it would be impossible as the size of the file would take all the space of the headset memory. The only thing I would like to change in order to get the perfect experience would be an option to deactivate completely the social feature. I think the social feature is part of the experience, but one should be able to watch the show without it. I know you can mute the audio of other people, I know you can move to the edge of the watching area to avoid seing them, but it is not enough - especially because you still get notifications when they join or leave the party. The social feature is good when you want to chat, maybe for sports events or for shows you have already seen - but then you should decide whenever you want to use it, maybe you could include a dedicated area in each space, and keep it activated for all users only when they are in the lobby, far from the stage ?
I really, really enjoyed the "follow the action" feature that allows you to watch the show automatically from selected viewpoints, with great transitions. The only thing is, you have to reactivate it each time a new song starts - maybe this could be improved too. And I think the fact you can only see the show at certain dedicated time slots makes the experience even more thrilling, it feels like you have to get prepared and wait as if it was live.
Thank you so much for creating this beautiful, incredible and moving experience. It gives so much hope regarding the possible cultural usages of VR. You did an amazing work.
Awesom app. Watched the incredible Muse concert all the way through last night/this morning. Fantastic experience. As others have pointed out though could've done without everyone there being added to the party when you come and go, as you get constant notifications when it happens. Aside from that it was superb, and the most time I have spent in VR in one sitting. Highly recommended.
Trash. I attempted to watch the muse concert. Key word: attempted. Aside from it crashing ever 3 mins and long load times making me feel like Im using a 10 year old hard drive. The audio would cut out every two seconds. I'm not trying again
