Tennis Game, Not a Sim Yet. This is a fun tennis title that has a high score target practice mode and general practice modes for single players, and normal public/private multiplayer tennis matches for all others.
Physics: - The tennis racket physics don't appear to be an attempt at an exact replica, but instead a precision arcade-like system. It does work well, but don't expect real life simulation. - Movement: Auto-run, teleport, or real life running (meaning you need a full tennis court to play). Manual run is tough to pull off to be comfortable, but hoping it makes it way to this title for competition enhancement.
Current price tag is likely not worth it for single-player only players, but if you have some pals to play it with, then it would be worth it!
Amazing Experience. Tennis esports made my dream come true of playing Tennis. It’s amazing experience and fun to play. Hope soon we could get trained virtually.
Great simulator that keeps improving 🤩. I have been following this game since the demo dropped and I am very impressed with the progress made so far. Overall mechanics and performance in general are great. I hope match making becomes easier when more people join the app. If you want a tennis sim, you gotta give this one a shot.
Doesn't feel like game has an identity. Being in the app lab affords Tennis Esports a fair amount of leeway, but I get the sense that this experience isn't sure if it wants to be a tennis simulation for training or a tennis simulation for fun. Frankly, in its current state, I think it does a poor job with both.
I'll start off by saying the obvious that the ball and racket physics are easily top-of-the-market for any tennis title at the moment. Nothing I've played up to this point (spare Eleven Table Tennis) is able to emulate spins and speeds as accurately as Tennis Esports.
The experience itself, though, is very obtuse. I understand that the UI is designed around someone using a controller extension making buttons inaccessible, but making this the only way to navigate the menus and play the game is awfully frustrating given that this isn't a normal navigation paradigm. This assumption also makes the game miss out on other opportunities, like the ability to move your player via the joystick. I understand AI is in the works, but its absence is disappointing, especially given this title's long development time. Combining this with the bad multiplayer experience (no prompt on what the scoring format was, we traded double faults and the match was over) makes this a poor tennis game.
What makes it a poor tennis simulation is more about the nuances like teleporting. There isn't a way to tell it where you want your hit spot to be, so I'm usually teleported to where my strike zone is below my knee, causing me to miss most groundstrokes. I'm also having to hit the ball far too flat than I do in real-life to get it to go over the net, which would concern me about teaching a player bad habits. Serving needs work, too; the toss is hard to control and the trainer doesn't let you re-toss.
My biggest disappointment is the major aesthetic improvements in the last year-ish have not been matched by major game/feature improvements. The stadiums are pretty, but a lot of the issues I've always had are still glaring.
Real possibilty to train for real tennis. Feels like real tennis. I am really fascinated about the trainings possibilties of this app. Tennis esports forces you to hit very properly and slowly. I hope this will help to bring my real tennis to a new level. This is no arcade game so you will need a little time to get used to it. The provided VR Racket from tennis esports increases the realism. If haptical feedback would be implemented it would be perfect.
Wholesome Devs. This is an early access tennis game that is coming up nicely, the devs are very engaging in the discord page. I would like to see AI players and some more options for those who play with just a controller, like removing the hand and increasing racquet power. Thanks and happy new year!
Very realistic tennis simulator. The graphics of the tennis court and the tennis ball with its little felt hairs are fantastic. I'm brand new and laid an egg. I changed the setting for the controllers to be used to something other than the existing Quest controllers and now I can no longer operate the simulation. I hope that the support from Tennis Esports resp. VR Motion Learning can help. Pre-ordered a controller with a real racquet grip and I'm excited to see how it plays. With the double-handed backhand, the Quest controllers don't do that well.
Perfect way to play tennis anywhere. You can train, play matches, participate in competitions, play arcade… everything from home, from a tennis club or simply anywhere! It is very accessible from the beginner to the expert player. Everyone will have fun! Arcade mode gets addicting Well done to VRML for creating such an amazing software and getting better everyday
Love all the way! Wow wow wow. What can I say? I’ve been waiting so long to play tennis esports and now it has finally ended up in my lounge! As I step into the stadium for the first time, with the grass beneath my feet, an airplane flying above, I am breathless at the sheer quality that Gregg and his team have produced. Truly remarkable. I take to the court and take on the practice classes. I always thought I was a pretty decent tennis player, but esports is something different, something unique and challenging but also something pretty beautiful. I then venture into my first match and I win. The great thing about this game is that you can chat and laugh with your opponent and have super fun no matter your level. If you have tennis in your hearts and are not always able to get to the court, feel rest assured that there is one waiting for you at home and that is not only magical but but greatly satisfying in my world. Bring on the cup and let the tournament begin!!!
Multiplay match option. I never got a chance to play multiplayer. Whenever request for multiplayer the option spinning and never find the match. At the end after waiting for longer i quite. I tried multiple times with multiple time frame. Still the same. I am not sure if there is bug in the game or they have disable the feature. My Hardware and internet is good. Other multiplayer games are good. Hope Team will fix that issue. For now 2 Star.

Best Vr game I played. This is the best Vr game I have ever played, I love tennis in real life as well as Vr now. The physics are great and not comparable to First Person Tennis the other Tennis App in Oculus. Love to see the future updates!!!
Great tennis game. Physics are great. Really good for practicing your touch and drop shots. Also good for grooving in forehand and backhand form. Serves are tough, haven’t really figured out how to do those as good as real life yet. The drills are really great as well.
I have tried all the tennis games available for oculus right now and this is by far the most realistic, I have already noticed the skills transferring to my real life tennis game. Anyone looking to learn real tennis skills will not be disappointed with this game.
New and upcoming game big potential. Real life physics great for real tennis players and anybody learning the game. This is the game to play! nice control and performance. love characteristics including the height, spin, speed, direction and depth of shots little different to real Tennis but it comes close and is super satisfying to play!

The “feel” just isn’t there…. I am a competitive tennis player. I have played my entire life. With that as a backdrop I have wanted to try several VR games while I nurse a knee injury. I have played First Person Tennis and can say that the feel in that game (although not perfect) is a lot closer to real life. In this game, hard swung shots go straight into the net, soft shots fly into the clouds, and direction is inconsistent.
The teleport feature is nice, but an auto run option would be appreciated. I also think that the serve toss is unreliable. It constantly throws out to the side. I wish there was an option to play with one hand (like the competitor game). It makes it feel more realistic, especially if you have a two hand backhand.
I’m using an adapter with a real racquet grip, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t get consistent results when I try top spin, underspend, and flat shots.
Lastly, the fact that there is no off-line mode to do a practice match or general rallying is very disappointing.
One positive is the look of the game is great, I especially love the real Wilson racquet (though I’m not sure if they got permission). I will say that the ball seems to have frame rate issues, but that may be because I’m on a Quest 1. The game description does say this should work on the original Quest, and if it doesn’t, I think the description needs to be corrected and a refund issued.
Most innovative VR tennis simulator. I’ve tried a few tennis simulators on my oculus but none of them reach the level of realism as tennis esports. I am a tennis coach and was sceptical before trying, however I’m blown away by the level of control and performance. I was able to affect ball characteristics including the height, spin, speed, direction and depth of my shots. There is still a long way to go in development, but I’m looking forward to the tournament feature and an AI opponent, Keep up the good work!
Best Tennis experience on VR. Really loved the game, the training helps you get a hold of the virtual gameplay. And once you get hold of it, it's so much fun. Playing with this a friend can be an awesome experience and it can get very competitive. Jumping in to train or compete over the new challenges added in the full version can be a good way to kill some time and get a decent workout especially if you have some weights added to your controllers. Looking forward to how the game will evolve in the future.
Massive Potential. This game has massive potential so I’m going to give it 5 stars due to the set up, graphics and overall potential. The drills, instant match play and high em are great and all are very addictive. Now it just needs more players and better physics and it will be the best VR tennis game around.
Great Game! This game is by far better than the other tennis game available on Oculus. The ability to hit a hard baseline forehand or a soft drop shot is great. The tutorial is well designed and the Challenge game is a blast to play and a great workout! I would love to see more mini games and the ability to play a full match with a friend added, but those are just minor adjustments. I highly recommend this game to anyone looking!
Very excited! As a tennis player I had to give this game a shot and what can I say… probably top 3 of my favourite VR games atm. I was sceptical at first regarding the realistic ball physics but they did a great job with that. It’s obviously a little different to Tennis but it comes close and is super satisfying to play!
I’m already looking forward to take part in big tournaments once people get the hang of it and start grinding this game. I give the game a 9/10 because there are not enough players yet to play competitively. Apart from that I can only recommend it!
