かなり良いが、まだ少しバグがある。時々、移動できなくなる。ズームもできるといい。

pretty nice, but still a bit buggy. sometimes you can't move anymore..zooming would be nice as well
Rough diamond. I love it, but in dire need of UI tweaking. My neck and my wrist hurt from the constant downward bending because the movement arrow is at your feet. Moreover, you can only move one frame at a time, which makes exploring a long, excruciating and uncomfortable process.
Doesn't work well. It's needs a lot improvements. The controls are wonky. The zooming into doesn't work right. I don't do the game thingy because the controls.
Lots of potential, but unpolished. I've been playing geoguessr for a long time now, and its clear to see that it's possible that we could get a very similar experience in VR. However, this game seems pretty unpolished and frankly like it was just a side project for it's developers, even inserting an ad for one of their other games inside of it. The map could be improved, maybe it could be moved to a wrist watch as many games do with their menus, or it could just be on the ui so that it follows the player and can always be clicked in the corner of the screen. The movement feature could allow you to just point and click a location and teleport you there like geoguessr does, or you could at least be able to use the left joystick to do what the arrow already does. Zooming and moving on the map is jittery. I don't agree that some locations are "too hard" or "too easy" though, that's just the nature of a game like this in my opinion.
Good potential. Needs a bit of work. This has some really solid potential, but navigating the streets needs a major overhaul to make it "playable". As it stands now, moving around in the world is a slow and cumbersome process that needs speeding up and streamlining. The current navigational tools just don't cut it.
In the end I stuck it out to make informed guesses about the last couple of places just by sheer "I refuse to give up" tenacity, because moving around was such a hassle and it took forever to get anywhere. If this aspect of the experience would be improved, it would be a tremendous plus for Somewhere. The potential for fun is clearly there - It just needs some work on the "getting around" bit.
Looking forward to raising the star rating when it doesn't take 10 minutes to walk down a couple of streets.
Edit: I was wondering if my 3 star rating was possibly a bit harsh, given the other 5 and 4 star ratings, so I gave it another serious try for a few places more and afterwards ended up lowered my rating to 2 stars instead. The navigation is really atrociously bad. It's a shame, because the underlying idea is very good.
VR Geoguessr Game. As a fan of games like Geoguessr, I was excited to try out Somewhere on my Oculus Quest 2. The concept of being dropped into a random location and trying to correctly identify where you are was intriguing, and the promise of exploring thousands of locations worldwide was appealing.
However, upon playing the game, I found that the navigation was a bit slow and cumbersome. Moving around the world was a bit of a hassle, and the current navigational tools didn't feel as intuitive as they could be. As a result, it took me a long time to walk down even just a couple of streets, which detracted from the overall experience.
Despite this issue, the underlying idea of Somewhere is solid and has a lot of potential. It's a fun and addictive game, and I enjoyed trying to examine my surroundings and make informed guesses about where I was. However, the controls could be improved to make navigation more intuitive, and it would be nice to see a wider variety of locations to keep the game fresh. Additionally, the addition of multiplayer (synchronous) would be a great way to introduce beginners to VR and add an extra layer of competition to the game.
Overall, Somewhere is a fun and unique app with room for improvement. While the navigation could use some work, the concept is solid and it's a great way to test your cultural knowledge and discover new places worldwide.

The Oculus Quest 2 has a wide range of single player games, as well as many co-op multiplayer games that can be enjoyed with friends and loved ones, even if you're not in the same location.
VR technology brings people together in a unique and exciting way.

Great concept - still needs some polish. Great idea, and quite a bit of fun. Will have to keep an eye on this as it updates. + Love the idea of being dropped somewhere, and having to figure out where you are. - UI sometimes has trouble selecting buttons (on Quest 2), but generally work after a few tries. - The map really needs to have a zoom/enlarge feature. (For instance, if I know a location is in Cairo, I'm lucky to be able to place a pin vaguely somewhere near Egypt, which might turn out to be a few kilometers inside the Mediterranean.
Great concept, fun, room for improvement. This is a fun, addictive little game. It's definitely worth the price to support the developers. It's neat to be thrown into a foreign location and try to figure out where you are just by examining the things around you. That said, I hope the developers are continuing to work on this because it has a lot more potential. Here are some thoughts/issues I had:
- The controls aren't the most intuitive, and navigating can be a bit tricky. For example, moving on the map is challenging if you don't initially zoom in on the location you wanted. It might be easier if one thumbstick controlled the zoom and the other let you move up/down/left/right. Also, it would be nice to hit a controller button to make the map appear instead of having to click something in VR. I'd suggest checking out Wander to see how their controls are set up, because that feels more intuitive.
- The locations repeat too often. Eventually it becomes a game of "what do you remember?" instead of, "can you figure out where this is?" because the same places keep coming up, which ruins the fun. It would be nice to add a LOT more locations and save the "seen places" so they don't repeat.
- Multiplayer (synchronous) would be an awesome idea - Let two people see the same location and each make a choice, then keep track of their scores to see who wins. For people with two headsets, it would be a great way to introduce beginners to VR.
I hope this app keeps updating, because with the limited number of places it loses its fun after a while.
Cool game, could use some additions. This game is already really cool, but I feel that adding a zoom function and faster movement would make it a must-try. Also the music absolutely slaps
Doesn’t work. All I get is a blank screen with a caption asking the location of the image I’m supposed to be seeing. Then you can open a world map to choose the location you are supposed to be seeing. Game is not ready yet.
Great idea. It's a great concept some locations are pure guess work others much easier IE like the one with a checkpoint Charlie souvenir shop on centre screen ,would love a deeper immersion with maybe a short walk around and more locations seems like it would be quite a simple amount of tweaking to get it up to 5 stars
Few tweaks required.. but... This could be really good. The same locations keep popping up, and would be better if the interface opens and closes with a button.. so user sees only location till they bring map . Final thing, but i feel most important, why cant user have uption to turn with controller. Without that its not really a sitting game.
Great Potential. Interesting little educational game that has the potential to be much more. A little basic in operation but with a small update could be so much more. You can look around for clues to locations but currently you can only move in one direction, being able to turn around would be so helpful. An added option to play a personal game against a friend would also be useful.
Good educational game. First, thank you developers for this learning tool of our place. Please continue to add more locations and places if possible. Also allow to keep and bookmark the location with informations and descriptions of it , this will help to player to learn the location. If possible allow player to save and bookmark the location. Also get the highest resolution of the 360 photo of places.
Great app, just needs some small tweaks. Very fun app / game based on the browser game geoguessr (which I love), just needs some UI and UX polish and some more locations, but impressive for a beta!
I love this game! I’m not able to travel right now, and this game entertains me for hours with places I didn’t know, somebody I will have a look at them by myself.

とても楽しかったです。 場所を移動できたり、ビデオロケーションがあれば5つ星です。

So much fun! Would be 5 stars if we could move around in the location or if there were some video locations
