Best meditation app. Here's Why. This is by far the best meditation App I've ever come across. Other apps show you cool graphics and/or guide you through each meditation. However, you will be limited in that you would have to use these apps to meditate every time.
ZenVR is different. The creators reproduced the space and setting of how Meditation is taught in real life. In other words, you are attending a class to learn meditation from professionals at the comfort of your home and at an affordable price. With real curricula and meditation skills you can perform on your own any time.
ZenVR is not an app to depend on to meditate. ZenVR teaches you to meditate independently.
Thank you for teaching me these valuable skills that imlrove my jealth and quality of life.
Ultimately you need to put time into it. I started this a few months ago and learnt more about why and how we do meditation. But ultimately you need to put the effort in to see the benefits. The vr experience is only so good as how much time you spend doing meditation
Great but needs a tweek. There’s a lot I love about this app. The actual meditations, the sounds of birds and nature the studio. I love the outdoors deck with the pagoda, cherry blossoms stream birds and swan.
What I don’t care for is the teacher’s white eyes. They are creepy and it cuts right through you like the walking dead. The opposite of relaxing. I can’t sit in the class and look at him.
I’ve managed to put my self outside the door and enjoy the nature views. His voice is calming tho so that’s a plus.
What I’d love is more meditation views like outside that has the Asian feel. That’s what makes this app so unique. Even if it’s a separate sit by yourself meditation option in main menu with option for music or nature sounds. Love the rain storm. Maybe a light snow storm or thunder and lightning would be great too. I love everything about this app other than his eyes.
The absolute best VR meditation app. Good lessons, great environment. There is really zero reason why this should be in app lab instead of the main store.
Best meditation app hands down. No idea why I didn’t buy this sooner, it’s the best meditation app you’ll find in VR. You start out in this pretty little toon environment and meet your teacher who will walk you through 30 minute lessons, I believe there’s 7 of them currently but more to come. You will practice meditating with your teacher and in between lessons you can come practice what you’ve learned. I can’t think of a single negative thing to say about this app. Ok, so I guess the graphics aren’t the best but I’ve get to see good graphics in VR. They definitely aren’t the worst I’ve seen. If you’re new to meditation you’ll learn a ton. If you’re not new to meditation, you’ll learn a ton. Seriously, it’s good guys and I don’t say that very easily.
Review of beginning. This is a review of first experience and first lesson at the moment. I will try to update this once I experience the app more. So far, I do not find many positives to this app, it does look like it has been in the lab for over a year now, so you would think they would get it out to the real store by now, but there are definitely some things that I did not enjoy. The very beginning, I'm not sure why there's a need for account information, just grab what Quest account that is using it. Then, the movement is very awkward, and somehow made me appear below the ground level so my view was literally of the floor. The whole introduction honestly was a bit annoying and seemed unnecessary. I'm not sure if the outside environment will be part of the future lessons, but it's an extra that doesn't contribute to the experience since it is not visually appealing and movement is very frustrating. The turning is not smooth like walking is, it has fixed positions for some reason. It also makes no sense why there's no hand tracking at all when hand positioning is important and meditating with controllers is not exactly an authentic experience.
Anyway, there's a lot to improve on, especially with quest 3 being out now, maybe mixed reality would be a good idea as well. I do not like leaving bad reviews, and since this is a software, it can be improved, therefore I should definitely return and update my review as this app grows. I would say that this app should not cost the $20 it is asking for at the moment, this still feels like something that should have been free. Thank you.
Wow! Great way to learn meditation! I am so impressed by the instruction this app brings. I've done a few different types of meditation and have researched much online apps phone/pc apps/ASMR/VR etc. and this one by far brings the best step by step way with detailed instructions that teach everything necessary to get a meditation practice going. Well done.
This is the future of Now ! I love love love deeply how this particular app has helped me to learn how to meditate properly. The techniques in this app are extremely beneficial and I have already seen a shift in how I manage and react to my environment within three days. I am truly grateful for this app, and the creators, and all the intelligence and wisdom that went into creating this exquisite educational tool. Thank you so very much 💜💜💜
Formal meditation training. I just wanted to mention how impressed I am that someone had taken the time to actually teach formal meditation (as in sitting positions, have positions, technique, etc.). The developer is immediately reachable and responsive on Discord, and I'm looking forward to accessing the coming new content.
I purchased this not because I wanted to buy one more meditation app; rather, I wanted *technique* so that I can meditation practice.
... Now if only I could integrate this with my Muse neurofeedback device to measure what is happening in my brainwaves while meditating --- *that* would be beyond cool.
Excellent. This app is excellent even for intermediates to experienced practitioners. It is nice to have an atmosphere to escape to essentially and simply to be guided by a teacher, even virtually. The lessons are done very well. Aside from minor visual glitches I have not a single complaint about this app. I think it could change your life if you are a beginner to Zen, Buddhism or meditation in general!
The lessons are genuinely excellent. There are some irritating visual glitches including weird flashes, blurry textures, and the teacher moving pretty robotically which take me out of the zone. But I am sure they will be fixed in time.
Learn how to meditate outside VR. Beautiful visuals and great teachings. Would recommend for a peaceful and grounding experience that can teach meditation even outside of VR.
Best Way to Truly Learn to Meditate. I have tried just about every meditation app so far in the Oculus store. None of them have ever taught me how to truly meditate on my own except for Zenvr. This is a great experience especially for beginners. The teacher in the classroom dojo walks you through everything from beginner to advanced. The environment is very peaceful and relaxing. Another great thing is you can practice anytime you want to increase your meditation skills. This is a great idea the developers created. This meditation school has really helped me to understand more about the health benefits of mediation. Also it has helped me to start applying what I have learned to everyday life.
Thank you Zenvr for creating such a great meditation experience. Also in the future a lie down or recline mode would make this app amazing!
Most in-depth meditation app I've tried. While Visitations is pleasant, there's not much to the app beyond soothing music and trippy visuals. Tripp offers more depth, but requires a constant subscription. ZenVR actually attempts to teach those who are not familiar with meditation on how to properly meditate through continuously-added lessons, all without a recurring subscription fee. If you are serious about VR meditation apps on Quest, this is the app to get.
