Catch me in the Astral Planes! [Rank 5]. DTA is an enjoyable VR game that offers a good challenge and an interesting lore. Not only does it have a unique aesthetic that sets it apart from other games, the fact that it was created by a one to two-person dev team makes it even more impressive!
The game features progressive difficulty, a decent tutorial, and a good variety of enemies to fight against. Players can level up incrementally, which improves their stats and makes them better equipped to take on the game's increasingly difficult challenges. TBH this game feels like a trippy fever dream version of classic wave-shooter arcade games I loved as a child and I mean that in the best way. It’s actually quite addictive the more difficult things get because you repeatedly try to top yourself while getting farther up the leaderboards.
DTA has a great soundtrack and well-done voice acting, which helps to create an immersive atmosphere. Players can choose between teleporting or smooth movement, providing flexibility and accommodating different playstyles. One of the most compelling aspects of DTA is the dedication the game dev has for creating a rich and detailed lore that spans across multiple games and even future comic books. The game's world has secrets, hidden areas, and mysterious creatures that hint at a much larger story for the player to uncover. This suggests that there is a lot more to this world than what is seen in the game, and that players can expect to learn more about the game's expanded lore/universe in the future.
Dream Tango Ascension is a VR game that has clearly been crafted with a lot of love and care. As a passion project, it is unlikely to be abandoned in a year like some other popular VR games. I will give it a 5/5 stars due to my appreciation of the aesthetics, difficulty, and consistent improvements made by a small dev team (got to show 'em some appreciation). If you’re a fan of wave-shooters, astral projection, spirituality, and virtual reality this is the game for you!
Are you worthy of ascension?. This game is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm so in love with the graphics style. Visuals are stunning, music is perfect. Little Pallas is so freakin' adorable! I want him. Gameplay is good. I played on easy and died a few times. Some of the enemies are tricky. I played for about an hour and only unlocked 4 out of 56 achievements. This game will last a while!

A fun way to learn spatial awareness! The nature of the wave based shooter will keep you on your toes if you don't mind your surroundings. The designs, visuals and music are pleasant to look and listen too, with an interesting story tied to it. The hidden lore was worth finding to expand on the story as well. The game can certainly be challenging if you're on your toes and paying attention to everything around you!
Take advantage of the different enemy types and how to deal with them, and clearing everything currently in the game is definitely possible. I can't wait to see what additions and challenges find their way in to later builds.
Travel The Cosmos. Dream Tango is a unique story driven arena wave shooter that takes place in the cosmos. We are a spirt traveler able to pass through the cosmic realm looking for powerful artifacts. The game has a great cosmic look to the environments, and very unique enemies and bosses. We have a great selection of weapons and powers to fight these enemies and bosses as well. From a cosmic sword, energy beam and energy shield to a blade that looks like something from the Predator movie. Throw these all together with a good story and we have an excellent wave shooter.
The controls are great as well. It has a movement option for everyone. Teleport, smooth locomotion and roomscale. Everyone should feel comfortable playing this title. The combat, both melee and range felt amazing and took no time to master.
The game was challenging and fun, and brings you back for more. If you are into wave shooters with a twist and good story, this is a game you will want to try for sure. Just download the demo and try for yourself, and you will be hooked. Also if you enjoy the demo, now is a great time to buy while its still in early access with a 60% discount. Solid experience. Dream Tango offers a fun and exhilarating VR experience that puts you on edge and requires full focus as you slash and handgun your way through waves of enemies. The game introduces an interesting and unique theme which takes place in the Astral Plane. Fun gameplay, good sound, pretty graphics, interesting story and mean enemies.
Just excellent! A great game from an up and coming dev! An action-packed shooter with addictive gameplay and lots of physical action! Beautiful and eerie graphics, a wonderful soundtrack and absolutely haunting voice-acting, and elements of an overarching story hidden around the arenas, as well as in the taunts of the goddess and the hints of the cute, friendly NPC! An overall great experience!
Original and addictive!!Love it!! Well done Uncloudy & Co!!! I tried a shooting game (Space Pirate Trainer ) from a friend's headset before I get mine and Dream Tango Ascension has similar mechanics but is set in an aesthetically amazing place!! I felt like being in open space!! I am halfway through the game now and I am completely hooked on beating wave after wave of eerie enemies (beware of the sneaky little ones!!). You need to spend some time on this game in order to raise your XP/level and shoot without cooling off for a bit. So play again and again because you will need it to get past the last waves of the flying ones on the second arena!!!Also, teleporting is my default way of moving around in VR because I am sensitive to motion sickness but in this game, I realized that teleporting can save your life. You need to move fast and always be aware of everything around you. Make sure to grab the power-ups, especially the orange ones!! I highly recommend this game to anyone who wants physical action combined with a very intriguing storyline! Question to the devs: Where can I get the soundtrack??!!!
