Welcome to the first of a kind VR Maze & Action Hybrid
This evolution of 2D platformers to VR, features a 3rd person gameplay - introduces unique controls over Glow's spaceship - "The Minotaur", in all 6 directions! Go right, left, up, down, forward and backwards. Help Glow, the renegade space racing pilot, to find the famous genius AI-computer-scientist Dr. Harris, in a fully immersive space station!
Don't worry about it. You'll do great :)
It's just a simple in and out mission.
NOTHING will go wrong.. You will probably NOT get trapped, or NOT have to solve long 3D mazes, or fight your way through enemy-bots, or collect energy powerups, or race for best time, or fight evil bosses..
Inspired by classic 2D platformers which focus on players timing and precision, emphasizing game balance and mechanics, you will master your skills in controlling Glow's spaceship, it's weapons and bombs and solve mazes like never before.
Different and interesting. It's a third person game, really different. But it's funny and interesting. You have to solve many labyrinths, and the funny point is doing quickly. Have a classification table, so you can compete with others. At the beginning it is a little bit difficult to control it, but after a while become intuitive. I thought it wasn't made for me this game, but I was surprised. When you are in, the graphics are better than seems.
An interesting game. I was at first a bit skeptic about the 3D/2D-aspect gameplay. At first the controls seemed hard, but after a while I got the hang of it and the game became almost like a puzzle-shooter. There is no time limit per se except the one your trying to beat in your own head. For me I found the game a bit hard but also challenging in a good way. I love the characters and the voice acting is spot on, all thou it might be too cartoonish for some people.
Overall I had a fun playing the game but I believe you will require patience with the controls to get the most out of it. Stick on with it and you will find a interesting, but at the time, short game.
Very nice and enjoyable game! It is same comfortable to play by standing or seating! I would recommend to go to settings right away and disable auto scaling, same as to put scale slider to the max left. That way tunnels and shuttle will looks nicer and big. Once I passed tutorial/training and get use of controlling system it started to shine. Following levels allows you to use weapons to solve tasks which makes gameplay really fun and challenging. Author of the game is nice and very open for any recommendations👍
A word from the developer. It started about 5 years ago. When I played "The Lab" by Valve for the first time and specifically the experiment with the small spaceship which changed everything for me. You hold the spaceship in your hand. It's small, like a toy. You're in a small room, they keep shooting at you and you try to avoid the bullets by moving your hand. It was a great experience which inspired the creation of this 3rd person (one handed) 6DOF movement of the small spaceship in VR space. That concept triggered the creation of VR-Man(c), which got halt with Covid, which then brought Shuttle Maze. This creation is made for you who love challenges. And It's challenging. It's 100% sensitive skill-based. Polishing this movement in space took forever. And we're still polishing it all the time. Think about an open space, without tubes, in which you can fly the spaceship in an enormous world. That's the future of Shuttle Maze. And it's going to be super cool!! Add to that the multiplayer factor. I'm so thrilled, and really wish to get the chance to create it! With your support in buying and rating and commenting and sharing and whatever makes this game more known, is the fuel to make this vision come true. So, I really hope you like it. And I thank you from the bottom of my heart :)
Satisfying and challenging! If you love solving mazes, this is the game for you! 🙂 Who knew that controlling a spaceship through mazes in space can be so challenging? In Shuttle maze you can sit back, enjoy '80s-style music and have fun that becomes more interesting and challenging with every level 🔥 As a woman, I always appreciate representation in the games I play, and here we have a cool female character with a dope scar on her face, ready to save the day in her spaceship 🚀
Loved it. I have played similar puzzle games, and I usually get bored and never go back, but this one is way better than those other games. Other games lack a story, I'm so glad this has a story line to follow, the style and voice acting are great. I found the game to be a bit challenging and very addictive. I love games that I can sit on the couch and play. I highly recommend this game.😎👍
Love the focus on gameplay. The fact that the more you play , the better you get is great. In the beginning i moved my hand a lot to control the spaceship l, but later i figured out how to control it almost without moving my hand at all. Its mostly with thumb stick!
Loved Glow and Dr Harris , they made me laugh.
Looking forward to see more players who can beat my time.
It’s a puzzle with spaceships! I’m a sucker for space . This took a spaceship and made it yours to control through a maze. The controls will take some getting used to but that’s because you have so many directions you’re able to move. The story animation that pops up is also in a cool retro art style of my 90s childhood. Definitely fun if you’re wanting a break from a shooter game or full body boxing game
Very nice and enjoyable game👍. It is same comfortable to play by standing or seating! I would recommend to go to settings right away and disable auto scaling, same as to put scale slider to the max left. That way tunnels and shuttle will looks nicer and big. Once I passed tutorial/training and get use of controlling system it started to shine. Following levels allows you to use different weapons to solve tasks which makes gameplay really fun and challenging. This game deserves 5 starts easy and knowing it still in lab we may expect more cool features.
Fun maze game. I must say that I enjoyed playing this futuristic maze. It wasn't easy at all to get used to its gameplay at first, I could hardly ever get the ship to go exactly where I intended. Pleasant to play even when seated, in my opinion it was born play when standing, and it is nice to move physically around the mazes to look at the labyrinths from another point of view. The only shortcoming for me was the inability to save on every opportunity: the levels are quite long, and if you don't take your time it can be frustrating to have to get to the end. Obviously, if the game falls within your strings, you will not be in a hurry! Greetings from Italy and VR Italia
VR Platform shooter with replayability. This game is designed for speed runs, the campaign and the additional races all encourage you to try one more time to make your way up the leaderboard.
As a shuttle pilot you make your way along ever increasingly difficult tube mazes, avoiding exploding mines or enemies. Deeper into the game those enemies begin to either home on you or fire at you.
The story that leads you on your journey is told through animated screens, your character a young female pilot called Glow with real attitude issues who is sent to rescue Dr Harris, who seems quite forgetful, losing or leaving items behind that you have to rescue or retrieve. The enemy is a corrupt computer that wants you to play their game endlessly.
Levels are made up of clear tube constructions, that will have set path that you must follow or in the case of the mazes unravel in order to move onto the next section, as with all the great 2D adventures progression is rewarded with new weapons, which makes me think of games like Metroid, by the end you will have 3 of these.
The controls for me are tricky, especially when attempting to better your time, and will take time to master, you use your thumbstick to control forwards and backwards, but aiming is achieved in both your flight and weapon attacks by the direction you rotate or tilt the whole controller, firing is the usual trigger press, you can also focus on your shuttle by pulling on the grip button.
Certain enemies will require different approaches to be defeated, some cannot be, doors blocking your path can be cleared through explosions, the majority of enemies can be destroyed with the largest of guns, but I did feel like a sitting target at times, attempting to line my shots up. But the more I played the better I became.
Shuttlemaze feels like it doffs it’s hat and is inspired by the 2D side scrolling platformers of the past, for its unique gameplay and control method I would recommend trying this game, it may be short in its story, but replaying the levels to master them will keep you coming back for more.
Great puzzle game. This game is quite fun! The controls take a bit getting used to but once you have it down and even before hand it is quite fun and the comfortability of it is quite high. Not really any motion sickness while playing and you can play it sitting down which is nice. The one thing I would say is that for me personally, the levels felt a bit longer than what I was expecting so if you sit down to start a level know it isn't gonna be all done quick like some other games like this. Give yourself a little time. Had a lot of fun though
Immersive Nostalgia. I'm an avid Quest 2 gamer and have played a lot of different games from many different genres. Shuttlemaze was a pleasant surprise - immersive arcade nostalgia at it's finest. The gameplay is unique - easy to grasp but challenging to master; the visuals are immersive - they put you into the world while still maintaining the proper arcade distance; and the music is awesome - the soundtrack has an 80s synth vibe that I enjoyed as much as the game itself. If you're looking for a fun game that is both challenging and relaxing, I highly recommend Shuttlemaze.
It’s a different feeling. When the game first loads it gives you that first steps graphics feeling that I initially had on my first use of the quest2. It’s a completely different feeling, you can zoom in and out, and rotate 360 degrees around a mini space ship stuck inside a maze. Think of a hamster in a hamster tube but a spaceship with outstanding graphics and attention to detail.
Takes awhile to get to grips of the controls but it’s a game I’ll keep coming back to.
This really is a gem! This was a real surprise - The concept is really interesting - you have to guide your little spaceship through a maze with various obstacles and enemies - the further you get, the more weapons you gain and obviously the harder it gets. To start with I found it difficult to manoeuvre the spaceship because I was using the joystick to try and move it with so I didn’t get very far! (I’m so used to playing other games with just the joystick!) but as soon as I got the hang of just moving the controller in the right direction it was easy to control the spaceship. I like the fact that there is a storyline to get you through the maze which makes it interesting. This really is a gem and recommend you get it - it’s one I will be playing for some time!
Shuttle Maze is super cool! I wasn't sure what to expect when I started but as soon as I got used to the controllers (which was pretty quick) I realized exactly what I was in for. It was fun and challenging yet extremely relaxing and chill. I think I found my go to game after I've finished my VR work out and I need to rest my body and work out my brain.
Unique & Fun (:. First off, I got this game for free from the developer. But that has no bearing on the score. The game itself is addictive, I tend to play it in little bursts as I do with most games. Just like other's have said the voice acting is great (: It really helps immerse you into the story.
I haven't completed it by any stretch but from what I have played it's been great :)
As with most games on the VR, I really wish there was a multiplayer or co-op aspect so I can play with my best mate. But keep up the good work!
fun but short. The history is nice, I really like the voice acting in the game, mazes are good, at first it took some time to get used to the controls specially the up and down but controls are well designed, the you have the option to compete for doing the levels faster than others so it has some replayability, but I feel it's missing the multiplayer factor, some capture the flag, deathmatch and team death match would be awesome, also bigger mazes. I feel the game has lots of potential but right now is kind of short.
このゲームは1ヶ月前に購入しました。 このゲームは1ヶ月ほど前に買ったのですが、ゲームの仕組みがとても面白かったです。このゲームは、グラフィックも音楽もいいし、ポケットに入れてでもプレイする価値がある。brutalsmurf aka patrick .
not bad, not bad at all. sorry for the late review as been super busy and had some rl issues but im here lol, i got this game about a month ago and gotta say i thoroughly enjoyed the mechanics of the game, took a bit of time to get used to the controls but once there it became more natural, loved the different mazes and challenges, the boss level took a while to complete but once i figured the patteren i smashed it, not tried the race modes yet but will do soon, good graphics and music, worth dipping into your pocket to try this one out, need to get back on it and get top spot on the leaderboards with the timed races. brutalsmurf aka patrick .
New twist on classic puzzle platformers. Shuttlemaze is an enjoyable and quietly addictive throwback to puzzle platformers. The big twist is feeling like you are inside the game navigating the maze and the increasingly intricate mazes. Once I got used to the controls, and controlling my view Shuttlemaze really starting to suck me in. Its storyline evokes games of yesteryear, a little silly but will be enjoyable for the whole family. Definitely check it out!
