Throwing Punches is a boxing game where you can punch your opponents from a distance. Throw your punches and control them in flight while dodging enemy attacks. It can be a real workout! You can slow down time if the situation gets out of control.
Go through 12 levels consisting of 4 stages each as fast as you can to stand at the top of the leaderboards!
Test yourself in Endless Random mode - whether you clear the stage or not - you never know what comes next!
Experiment with modifiers - make your fists go faster, disable gravity, or change the slow motion controls!
Now with three ways to control slow motion: manual, "if you move, time moves" and "time slows down when bullets are nearby"
An engaging workout. This game makes you feel powerful. Getting to guide in slow motion my hand-missile perfectly into the noggin of a robot/samurai/pirate/cowboy was a feeling I didn't know I needed so badly until this day. Finished the whole thing in one sitting, I couldn't put it down. Controlling the hands takes a couple punches to get the hang of, but once you get it you feel unstoppable.
Fine for the price - short. It's satisfying when you figure out how to throw the punches correctly (slow throw, aim with your pointer knuckle, smooth movement only!), and the workout aspect becomes mostly legs/core through dodging. The slow-mo mechanic is awesome.
That said, I ran through the whole game in about a half hour total end to end, tried training, tried endless mode and it felt repetitive very quickly. There aren't many scenes, which is fine, but the locations of the enemies remain roughly fixed, so you can immediately know from the first moment where everyone will be. Endless mode even cycles through all the maps, including those that have only very few enemies running out, rather than letting it get progressively harder (or stay at a set intensity).
For replayability, I suggest they populate every map with a few hundred possible spawn points and then randomly select from these when spawning enemies so the game stays surprising and fun. It also wouldn't hurt to have a variety of objects (trains, barrels, houses, etc) so they could auto-generate maps.
I would need to have more content and randomization to come back to this game in the long term.. I feel I've basically memorized everything already, so I'll be returning it and stick to pistol whip for my leg day. I may come back to this game after more content is added.
For the price though, 5 stars. I could see spending like 5-10 hours on this game before it becomes totally lifeless.
One of the best VR games I've played! I got this game on a whim, because I thought it looked fun when I saw screenshots posted on social media. I got up this morning and decided to play it, and suddenly I was hooked!! Once you start mastering the throw and you understand how it works, you can really start honing your skills and climbing the leaderboard! I even managed to get 4th place on a level. I joined the discord and gave what little feedback I could to the devs but all I will say here is this, you can throw the fists, you can also control the fists after you throw it. Use your slow motion sparingly as you want to basically only use it to dodge bullets last second or line up a shot. Now go play the game!!
Great. The gameplay is very fun and addictive, I beat all the levels after 2 sessions. This game gets super intense and you work up a real sweat.
I look forward to harder levels!! Keep up the amazing work Devs!
One thing I would improve on is the endless run. It would be better if it continuously got harder and at the end it shows how many enemies you defeated.

Puch time! Awesome game, innovative, can't wait for the second iteration!
Great game! Really cool game! I really like the punch controls and the way time slows down. It’s so rewarding to do a slow motion uppercut and watch the bad guy go flying! I hope the developer will keep adding to the game, as it was very quick to play through and the endless mode gets a bit repetitive with the npcs appearing in the same spots in mostly the same order. It’d be great if the npcs spawned in different random areas so it wasn’t as predictable, maybe approaching from behind sometimes as well. Even with that, still a great game. I feel like with a few more additions, this would be up there with some of my favorite games.
Just awesome. At first I thought this game was gonna be like those other games that just is repetitive but no, this game surprisingly kept me coming back for some more brawling action. The way you can control your fist mid-air is AMAZING, and the main mechanic of shooting your fist instead of punching them is also great, overall a 5 star
Great game. When Rayman meets Superhot :-) I am trully amazed of the concept, gameplay and difficilty(as a noob). It's nice workout too. I will definitely stay here for a while. Kudos!
Go on then. It’s a good game, can’t be denied. A nice little surprise. It’s a bit of a workout, it’s hard, and it’s quick to pick up and put down. Even when you die there’s no wasting time, straight back in again.
Throwing Punches is Basically a RaymanVR. Throwing Punches is a game where you are put into waves of enemies in nice looking environments and your only weapon is your projectile punches. You can punch with either or both hands and your hands can be directed by turning the controller after unleashing the punch. You are also able to press any of the 4 main face buttons to slow down time and believe me with all the bullets you will be dodging your going to need to take a page out of Neos book and pull some moves straight out of the matrix. With that being said it makes the game great exercise as it gets your whole body stretching and moving and its a lot of fun. Perhaps the price tag might be a little much for the content but I personally loved this enough I think its worth it.

Cool mechanics and levels, great game. This game allows you not only to literally throw punches and control them, but also dodge enemy bullets, block them with your hands, and slow time when needed - a mix of fun gameplay elements. The core mechanic of throwing punches and dodging is pure fun. Oh, and it gets turned up to 11 in the later levels, where there are more enemies and you feel like a kung-fu master, timing all your punches and dodges, and slow-mo actions to smash enemies swarming all around you

Say what Superhot VR?
Say what Superhot VR?. Wow! I’ve been waiting for a long time to have more levels to superhot Vr. It’s not the same thing. Actually, it’s REALLY different, but the same concept. For now the game is a little short but I know the developer is gonna be adding more levels. I recommend to everyone that liked Superhot VR.
Also the developer is close to the community which is a really positive point for me. A must buy and it is so cheap!
Amazing. Its just a simple mechanic that makes this game so fun and its smooth as butter and does'nt drain the battery alot. The modifiers made it 10 times better because i could just do a barrage and its really fun. Keep going and make this game a masterpiece ( its already a masterpiece)
Some thing i would love to see in the game:
On/off hand trail option
Hand skin customization
Hand trail customization
A type of enemy or boss that takes more than 1 punch
Great concept, slightly tough controls. This is still in development so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, I think it's gonna be great when it's done.
UPDATE: I see the dev has replied, but I don't know how to reply to their reply! Hopefully they will see it here.
I found that I wasn't able to consistently launch my fist, sometimes trying 2 or 3 times before it would actually fly off. When it works right tho, it feels AMAZING! That was my only problem, but as the central mechanic I thought it was worth mentioning. It's a GREAT concept, and I have enjoyed it so far!
Great game with lots of fun! Had a lot fun playing, great workout! It's a unique concept I've never seen before, throwing your punches like Rayman! i recommend it to everyone, waiting for updates
