wow this update is wonderful! from one star directly to five stars! more details soon.... -----------
this app needs an option to load only some maps, i don't need all the maps because a lot of them are not beautiful, but some are spectacular. having all the maps just takes me away from storage space on the quest. the interface is to be improved, and a minimum of animation should be introduced: birds in flight, and other elements. scanned vegetables should be replaced by hand-made vegetables in graphics. take an example from the splendid realityviewer, free on applab, and also from Brink. this app for me is now worth 1 star but it could immediately go up to 5 with the right improvements and updates, it's been too long and has never been updated
Awesome app but update is problematic. I've loved this app for a long time but now after the update I can't reach the wall to select places I am disabled and have to use a stationery boundary Not happy
App not working. I bought this app several weeks ago and have tried to get it to work multiple times. I have installed it and uninstalled it a few times but I still cannot get past the menu with the round circles. Has anyone else had this experience?
Beautiful experience. Wonderfully immersive, like being there. The interface is intuitive and easy to use. I love being able to walk around a large room and explore as if I was there, but also being able to let my grandmother explore from the comfort of a chair. The hang gliding is especially good! (Though my Quest sometimes struggles with load speed when hang gliding.)
Good VR experience. I'm giving this 5 stars because IMHO it's probably the best immersion experience on Quest. The somewhat odd interface controls are something you can get used to. I had functionality issues initially, and Eric was quick to contact me and correctly diagnosed it as an incomplete install. He indicated there will be a major update soon, with many more places and an updated interface. It was already well worth the price, and sounds like an even better deal after the now release. Note that this is not a sitting down app. You pretty much should be standing, and the larger the romscale boundary you can create, the better. Good stuff, and thanks Eric!
New packs. Thank you. After purchase of packs 2 and 3 they are still showing in the app as available to buy. When i touch the icons nothing happens and the controls within tne app won't respond.
Help. This looks amazing. I downloaded it, but cannot get past the menu. This is my first VR and first App so it might be a simple fix. Where do I go for help?

Great Application. Simple to use and just beautiful!
It's worth it. Great experience! Update: I tried Wander and YouTube VR because of the jaded 1 star reviewer and I have to say that while those are indeed great they do not match this experience for immersion and exploration factor. This isn't cheap but I'll gladly support this level of experience and detail for what it has. Well done. Keep adding more!
I love this concept and would love to see even more. Forget games, this is what I want VR to be. Find a good spot, put some headphones on with suitable tunes (or just chill to the ambient sounds), and enjoy. I'm sure there's some good stuff out there using link to a high end PC or more, I'm new to VR, first VR for me is the meta quest 3. But from that perspective this is awesome, and it was simple to download and it's nice to be wireless and not need a PC. Glad to hear about updates coming for this! For my money this is easily worth it.
I've been to a lot of the places in this and it really is close enough to being there. One funny glitch, I got teleported out over the air at Mesa Verde I think (moon stuff) and that was a shock, lol.
This is terrible. Long user of VR more for experiences than amusement...this is just a terrible piece of I'm not sure what. Is somewhere between explorer and graphic illustrator and does neither particularly well. Wander is brought for real time graphic viewing, and youtube vr is better for graphics. Movement is slow and limited, flying is so boring you pray for crash ability just to do something. The graphics look unfinished and while it wants to come off rich and zen-like, it's annoying and bothersome to see unfinished sections and zero capacity to move. Worse, at 18 gb, it will eat your system. Better to find vr video for free for a much better experience.

Library of Realities.com

Library of Realities.com review:. Blueplanet VR Explore brings the immersion of virtual reality, allowing you to marvel at world locations of significant natural and cultural heritage in three dimensional photography and modeling. Featuring around 50 sites at over 40 locations, you can take in the sights from different vantage points as you freely roam around the landscape. Sites range from aerial photography to caves, canyons and lava tubes. From Asian temples to a Nevada ghost town. All in solitude, without the crowds that you'd usually find at these popular locations.
We were particularly impressed with the modeling of Arizona's Antelope Canyon, which compared favorably with an equivalent experience in the Brink Traveler app, offering just as much modeling and photographic detail but permitting deeper travel into the canyon.
Blueplanet is a detailed exploration of a large number of sites skillfully created in photogrammetry, but it's not without its issues. We'd love to give Blueplanet five stars we but have to mark it down in some important areas - most notably a clumsy UI and some stability issues. We had to reset the app several times after getting stuck with black screens when selecting a new location, both with PCVR and Quest versions. Also we'd have preferred more diversity in subjects and a better geographic spread of locations - 80% of these experiences are based in the American Southwest, with the only exceptions being 4 sites in Iceland, one in Nepal and three more in Java. The developer tells us there's a major update in the works for the end of 2023 with 30 new locations and an improved user interface and we'll revisit this review then.
✅ Many immersive 3D environments to explore. ✅ Great range of content and detail. ❌ Needs wider global coverage. ❌ Clumsy UI and some stability issues.
