Grok: To understand something intuitively or by empathy.
Grokit is a hand tracking multiplayer mixed reality game aimed at rapid fire interactions. Inspired by the party games of old, players are dropped into bizarre situations where they must evaluate their environment and act in a short amount of time.
Play in your own room with mixed reality passthrough or in traditional virtual reality in a variety of handcrafted environments.
Grokit is built from the ground up to leverage more of what the new hardware can do. See what’s possible with scene understanding, with game objects interacting with your and your friends’ rooms and furniture. Fast and smooth hand tracking means no more dealing with controllers.
Play your way, with multiple character customization options available for avatars, hats, and watches, as well as a selection of environments and music.
Grokit is also an excellent way to introduce your friends to VR and MR because it’s easy to pick up, or grok, and the engaging challenges can be enjoyed in short play sessions. Perfect for family gatherings and fun for all ages!
This is just the beginning of our Grokit journey. Future updates will include additional micro-levels, longer content mini-levels, more customization options, holiday and other special events, mobile asymmetrical play, and more, oh my!
Grokit is a work in progress, with much more content coming, buy now to help support development!
Fun party game! Grokit took me by surprised by its simple format and fun and engaging minigames! What surprised me the most was how accurate the hand tracking was! My favorite minigame was the shark chomping game, and I think I enjoyed that the most was for my love of sea life and water-themed games (i.e. Dave the Diver). I think the game could use a little more instruction on some of the minigames (the placing of ornaments on the game was a tad difficult), and I did notice an occasional glitch when in sitting modes (looking down outside of the boundry showed a menu glitch that I believe was not supposed to appear to the player). I cannot wait to play with some of my friends, especially between larger games or waiting for other friends across the world to hang out! Definite 5/5 for me, even with the little complaints!
Good usage of Mixed reality. The game is taking advance of the mixed reality and show what is really possible with this new approach. The 6 mini games are easy, but it takes a bit to master them. So far there are 6 mini games, from all 6 the Chomp, where you have to eat fishes with your hands around your room is my favorite. The game is already good, I am curious, what else will bring the developer. The potential is huge. Good job!
Cuteness overload. Love this adorable game. There are six quick mini games that you can play solo or with up to 4 people. My favorite mini game was Chomp where your arms become sharks that eat the fish swimming around you. Outside of the cute appearance of the game I also love that it has hand tracking.
