CRASHLAND is a VR action horror game set on a hostile alien planet. You play as an intergalactic gladiator who is crashlanding and trying to survive until rescue. You will need to master your pistol, boomstick, scanner and teleporter to survive. New firing modes and powerups will drop during missions. By gaining XP you can level up, unlock perks, and radically alter how the game plays.
Features: - Fast visceral combat against over 50 vicious and deadly creatures. - 24 unique missions across desert, forest, and mountain biomes. - Advanced procedural animation technology that helps bring the virtual creatures to life. - Weather effects like howling winds, rain, thunder and snow. - 30 perks to unlock including teleport punch, slow time, and turrets. - Local, friend and galactic leaderboards.
Awesome, Challenging Wave Shooter. This game is very challenging (even after leveling up perks to max). That part was a huge win. I still can’t beat a lot of the levels on hard let alone nightmare. Normal is a grind.
There are 24 levels. You have a set time you have to survive from generated enemy units which are different per level. You have a pistol with unlimited ammo with upgrades. You also have a secondary gun with unlimited ammo, a teleporter and radar.
You level up to 30 and can select from 1-5 perks at a time out of 30 choices that you unlock as you level up.
Really fun wave shooter game. If you ever saw aleins then you will recognise the radar which is on your hands with waves and little red blips. Can make you jump if creatures catch you off-guard. Decent challenge and well worth downloading. Enjoy
A great wave shooter. If you’ve dreamed about being doomed to continually crash on alien worlds then being forced to defend yourself against endless hoards of locals out to kill you while you desperately wait for a rescue, then your dreams have come true.
Excellent graphics, leveling up, perks, weapon upgrades dropping from the sky and something new and interesting waiting to kill you on each new planet make for a great time in this intense wave shooter.
Thankfully now that they’ve added the “casual” difficulty normal humans can enjoy it. The higher difficulty levels seem to be for people with super human reflexes. 😁
Near Perfection! I absolutely love this game, the gameplay is fast paced, and there is an abundance of enemy types with great animations. As has been stated by many, you really do have to figure out how each enemy behaves and where its weak points are to have a chance at beating a level.
Oddly, one of my favorite aspects of this game IS the difficulty. If you try to play this like a normal wave-shooter, you're never going to get anywhere. Like, at all. You need to constantly making lightning fast decisions and teleporting all over creation to survive. My first playthrough was on normal difficulty, which was just right for me without being frustrating (for the most part). I do want to continue to harder challenges though!
So yeah, huge props to the developer to resisting the pressure to make the game easier. Although I gotta say, you are an absolutely evil b*st*rd for creating level 8. Omfg the mental pain I went though lmao.
Responding to "game is too hard" critics. This is where you go after Space Pirate Trainer. Tactical spoilers ahead.
I feel like I should address some complaints about how the game is too hard. Those people should try again on the Casual difficulty setting. Understand that the tick has a tough shell and it seems like it takes alot of shots to kill him but you can wait till he exposes his belly and kill him in 2 normal shots or 1 powered shot. When you feel impatient, you can move or teleport closer to him in order to kill him sooner. This idea also applies to others like the slug and the longlegs. It's just alot easier to hit their weak spots when you are right in front of them than distant. Don't worry about wasting a teleport because you get it back when you kill them. This game is all about killing them quick so you don't get overwhelmed. Even the crusted longlegs are a 1-shot kill with the boomshot shotgun blast when you are right underneath them but you have to modify tactics on higher difficulty settings. Spoiler for the crabs: their weak spot is their butt. Teleport behind them, use the snap turn-around with the joystick and shoot them from behind. Do something similar with the charging rhinos unless you have the boomshot which can penetrate their front armor or else you can shoot their feet to kill them too when they are charging. If the crabs still give you a problem, try the focus perk to slow them down so you have time to shoot them before they turn around. You can use the B or Y button for Focus which can also be good with the sandfish or else use the chopper on them. Ground explosions also kill the sandfish but it's easy to miss with those.
Turret with Capacity is often good for the last minute of the level. Rockets detonate when you pull the trigger the second time. The green weapon (when powered) can shoot an energy ball that you can detonate if you then shoot it with a normal shot. Use Executioner perk in early games. Use Charged in later games. I very much want co-op with this game.
Crash Land. So I have been a game player since I was a little brat asking mom and dad for 5 bucks so I can play up at the arcade uptown. Crash Land reminds of games like Victory Road, straight up from being in the arcade when I was younger. To old school Crimson Land from my pc.. Love the game!! Ps. I die a lot!!! 😂 Keep coming back for more!!!!
Easily one of the most fun and intense g. Stuck in an alien world attacked by giant insects and monsters beyond imagination. The game is challenging, requires skill, and it’s so much fun to learn. Games like this are why I got a VR. Fully expect die 10 times before beating the first level. Get good and die trying. 10/10
Insanely unfair. Extremely pathetic and weak guns. Your pistol is awful. The grenade launcher is worse. You have to wait for it to land to pick up. Only one shot plus slow reload and no way to aim it makes it extremely useless. power ups are just as bad. the "chopper" looks like a fan and does nothing most games will cheat with damage sponge enemies and too many enemies and this game is too unfair. Enemies can spawn anywhere at any time, behind and to your blind sides while distracted. Some are too fast and sneaky. leveling up & perks dont matter. 30 perks but max perk is 5 to have at a time. blood thirsty bugs are the worst, keeping you trapt, focusing on them while more bugs ambush you. The worst way to die being Completely helpless with very bad guns, no real power ups, the very little are rare drops. Open world is pointless when the entire game is against you. Lower the enemy number, give the player a fighting chance, might as well be fighting with a stick due to how unprepared this rando pilot and gun slinger is. More guns, more power ups, more drops and better leveling up system to upgrade guns, health & armor. The game has too many spider. Like six types The web throwing spider can teleport in front of you. Worms head but you from a distance. Hard mode has instant kill. The game randomly pauses and there's no resume button.... why
Frightening in a Fun Way. This game wants to kill me. I'm not talking about just in the game - I put the headset down and I'm on my last nerve after only playing for a little while. Though it's pretty tough, you quickly build just enough skills to get to the next level where the whole process starts over.
Great, freakily realistic creatures - each with its own weapons, strengths, and weaknesses. You need to use EVERY tool and EVERYTHING in the environment ALL THE TIME.
It's super-addictive. Block out some serious time with this one.
Love this title but one issue. So first off ill start by saying this game is difficult. I died a few times on the first stage but beat it relatively easily. But stage two is soon much harder. I have not been able to beat it yet but I will persist. I love the designs of the enemies and the atmospheres. Butttt. Im left handed and aim horribly with my right hand. If the developer made a left hand mode I'd rate it 5 stars.
Favourite Game. I love this game, it's simple and effective but not enough to be a 5 star:
I love the bugs, love how they all have a different characteristic and killing style.
The guns are well thought of and there's a great range of enemies. It takes time to learn each enemy's weakness.
The maps are decent, and you need to try to use the terrain to your advantage. You need to be on your toes and try and outsmart the enemy. I also love the teleport mode and quick 180 degree quick turn.
Great Game but there are issues:
The aim sensor (spot) feels like its a couple of notches too low.
The game could do with a story mode with character voices.
The bugs are a little too simular to what we have here on earth (not too much of a bad thing, I love the spiders)
Overall, it is my favourite game. Very well priced. Brilliant 1st person shooter game. Good graphics, good sound effects and I love how you can put on the headset and get straight in.
If you like first person shooting games, you need to add this one to your list.
Good Stuff. The gameplay consists of landing on a planet then going gung ho on ever living thing in sight. Seeing as you can defend yourself very well it’s not that intense, but if your doing a difficult game it’s a good workout. I’m having a lot of fun with the perks and abilities. (I have most of them unlocked at this point.) I do wish there was a way to jump. Overall it’s very fun and I recommend.
BEST SHOOTER OUT THERE. I’ve been looking for a game like this for Quest 2 for the longest! I just wish they could add more levels and more aliens and more guns! Just like Doom:Eternal. You should definitely get this game as it will take your shooter experience to the next level! 9/10
Funnest VR Shooter. I’m addicted to this game. It’s a ton of fun and very challenging. Each level requires a new strategy to approach the various new aliens introduced. Shoot as much as you and never run out of ammo, use various special weapons, teleport and other cool stuff to narrowly escape each planet. I love it, and hope they keep building on it.
The horror arcade shooter i AlwaysWanted. I was a little sceptical in the beginning as for the variety aspect, but here i am proving myself wrong! It has many different planets with different environments with or without obstacles and in each planet I'm being attacked by many different and new monsters so i can have a lot of fun without getting bored. If you are thinking to buy this game, you've probably already noticed the same 2 weapons in every image or video you've seen and for most this seems like a turn off thing, until you play the game, of course. Crashland is so intense you'll barely even notice with all that power ups that you hold visually the same weapons. It has fantastic gun mechanics and this is by far the best arcade horror shooter you're gonna find! It's one of my most played games in my game library and i am deeply pleased i made this purchase! I hope the devs will continue to support the game in the future with additional content and i wish i see more game releases from them!
Simple fun. Love this game. Like the best out there, seemingly insurmountable odds are overcome by gradually figuring out how you can triumph with what you have at your disposal, and by watching and learning from your foe. No tedious storyline, crafting or complex levelling up trees - you’re simply and quickly dumped on various planetary terrains to face giant bugs of varying horrificness to satisfyingly splatter. A straightforward system of power ups and limited tools such as the short teleport out of danger and the Alien-esque radar system help you out. The movement is slower than I’d like but this just adds to the dread as the enemy closes in. In summary a fab dip-in shooter, old school in a very new school skin.
Crashland. So you thinking is this game worth buying? Awesome ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is not an adventure shooter but a ruthless addictive alien killing survival game that keeps pulling you in for more. Kill aliens, power up, survive and escape that's it but it works and keeps you coming back for more, controls are fluid, graphics are good and sound effects spot on, for the price its a solid experience. Lots of fun that captures what a game is all about. Hope this helps👍
Great Game!!! Quick review: really great game highly recommended. If there was an update what would be great is to go from planet to planet or to go to different parts of this planet, the forest, the mountains, the jungle, swamps, maybe even night time with night vision goggles just some changes from the same kind of standard scenery. Still overall great game!!!!
Edit: After reading other reviews I see there is a Night time sequence. Your review was done at level 4 because I enjoy it so much😉
