Step into Starfall (Demo Chapter 1 of 4), a sci-fi mixed reality experience where reality isn't what you think.
You awaken in space, returning from “the simulation” with heavy memory loss as you arrive at your next destination: Planet Exoris. As you explore surreal planets, you must uncover who you really are, the purpose behind the recon mission, and how human connection brings meaning to life.
This 25-minute journey is the first chapter in a story of resilience, creativity, and connection, inspired by mental health challenges and dreams of alternate realities. It requires a 2.5m x 2.5m free floor area to prevent boundary collisions and a relaxed environment to fully immerse yourself in its music and visuals.
Developer’s Note:
What started as an escape from my unhelpful thoughts, then transformed into a cosmic adventure that fuelled my life with motivation. From building mixed reality effects to recording music and sounds, every detail kept me going. I feel deeply grateful for my family, friends, and this beautiful Earth.

Very promising demo with awesome VFX. This game has the coolest, most immersive portal effect I've seen in my life as both a VR gamer and developer, and the mixed reality is top-tier - turning your walls into the window of a spaceship. There's obviously a lot of innovation going on behind the scenes, and I'm very keen to see where it goes from here!

One of the most promising demos of MR. I was caught off guard by how good this demo is. It was the first time I felt the magic that VR brought me originally when I tried First Contact, Robo Recall and later, Half Life Alyx. The level of interaction and polish is amazing and I couldn’t believe it when I learned that this was a solo dev making this! Here’s hoping she/he continues and develops this into a full game or experience.

Amazing experience. I will give it four out of five stars because I got a little motion sickness. I would prefer not to have to lie down, as the area that works for me is my porch, and that's rain and leaves in my hair. Additionally, it should tell you when starting that you need Hand and Body Tracking enabled for this to work. Once you get it running correctly, it is Superb.

Superb! Can’t wait for the full content. We need more top tier experiences like this on Quest 3. Awesome use of mixed reality. Fantastic hand tracking. Beautiful visuals and music. Plus a first for me, lying on my back and enjoying a mesmerising visual dance of light at the end of the demo. A must download.
