Watching HBO/Max. App crashes after a second of the video playing. Happens on this app lab version and regular meta store version of wolvic. So, useless for me.
Use reality browser instead, it works with hbo/max
Used to be great. I know this is still in development, but it's a classic case of an app that initially was great for most users, but getting progressively worse by updates trying to fix specific things.
The latest updates made it unusable for me, for two main reasons: - Gone is the back button functionality: it used to be possible to go back from any webpage just by clicking one of the controllers' buttons. That is gone, and now the only way to do it is to use your controller to go find the "back" icon on the screen. This also means that now the only way to exit the app is with a long press on the oculus button and force closing it; - Gone is the 3D 180 view on 3D VR movies. The option is still there, but what used to work flawlessly in previous versions, now it's unwatchable because it simply doesn't work. Now there's a 3D view mode but it's on a small window. When choosing the 180 option it automatically stretches it to 360°, thus loosing the 3D effect. So now it's worthless.
The browser is still better than the Quest's native browser, but I'm currently trying to learn how to force the downgrade to a previous versions, because the current one (1.3) is simply worthless.
Progressively worse by the update. This is a bad upgrade, and it needs to stop! They removed the ability to center along the vertical axis. Now, when I'm weight lifting or sitting in my recliner, I can no longer use this Wolvic browser because I can't move the screen vertically, at all. my neck is hurting today from bending my neck trying to see the screen. Terrible things are happening there, and soon nobody will use this program ifnit continues. The advertised video moves the screen around and it doesn't even move now like the video. lol why? smh
Worse every update. At first, it was a good alternative to Firefox. But now, it's not good. Just today, it crashed. Another issue is that there is a delay when click items /links in the browser. Sometimes you have to double click, or long press the trigger to get a link or menu item to activate. It's very unstable and has only gotten worse.
Vr used to work on ff reality. I dont know but my understanding is Firefox handed over the vr browser to yall and i have not been able to see 1 vr video since I downloaded ur app, and it crashes back to back to back and page take for ever to open , and to send a bug report I have to go through github only, to be honest here I don't even understand forums or discord and github is even more complicated, yall need a direct link to write bugs down and send with out using overly complicated sites or apps , put a button we can tap that will give is an email Setting or something simple to understand and attach video or pictures and then yall can recieve it and go do ur coding thing on github , but unless u do that I rate yall a 10 and I'm uninstalling Firefox for selling out on us ,
P.s now reading reviews it's obvious that the webxr is doing the same thing to us all and u keep insisting that YouTube and vimeo and what not , look what everyone is trying to say is vr adult content no longer works, which site idk pick one cause none are working ,now do you understand wher the problem is? Used to work fine now its a black screen with audio and controls pop up but no video feed , I'm pretty sure alot of these comments are talking about this same issue and like I said I don't know how to do the github thing sorry , but this is the only way I see to sending yall my message, thanks in advanced for fixing our problem ,
Vr view is not fixing. Another Bad update , vr video right to left is not working.. it showing 360• , not 180. If you play a video press 🥽 than right to left is not work.. it’s show like 360• videos
VR videos don't work! VR videos don't work on multiple sites. When quest is in limited functionality mode the browser behaviour is erratic. Controllers are assumed to be at the top, aligning doesn't work. And the toolbar and browsing window overlap.
VR video is not WORK. First of all, thanks for the hard working on this app, but the new update seems doesn’t solve the problems.
The 180 sbs vr is totally unplayable, no option is work for this, 180 tb looks work on 360 stereo, but if you look carefully, you will find it only shows the left screen on both lenses, and the screen size is double.
For the new hands feature, it’s very good idea but actually it doesn’t correctly detect my “pinch” action sometimes, and the hands were disappeared in Vr video, can I keep my hand on just like skybox do?
btw, the main panel is always show even enter Vr video mode, are there anyway to turn it off?
Needs passthrough port to see keyboard. The browser is the most flexible of all browsers on Q2. I would use it for work but there is one huge fatal flaw ... No passthrough for a keyboard. You can't see the keyboard so it is impossible to get real work done. If Wolvic had a way to see the keyboard it would instantly become the key #1 browser for Q2. It would be huge!!!! (It's nice because you can resize it to get lots of screen real estate to get your work done and allows multiple browser screens so you can reference stuff and copy/paste. It's very good except for this.)
Firefox 10 out 10. Wolvic 1 out of 10. The Firefox browser I gave 10 out of 10. I liked the backgrounds, especially the space background. I nearly cried when Firefox stopped developing this brilliant browser. The Wolvic browser I give 1 out of 10. The backgrounds are awful, and the browser window is not centered. It is very buggy. Bring in the backgrounds from Firefox and I might start using it again
Not very usable but feature rich browser. First, the good:
Firefox sync is obviously amazing. Quickly sharing pages from your PC to the Headset is great and so is being able to import your passwords, bookmarks and history.
Extension support is a huge plus. The web should not be browsed without an ad blocker. Luckily this browser supports uBlock Origin and many other extensions, this is the way.
Now the bad, and unfortunately, there is a lot of bad:
First issue I encountered right away; no hand tracking support. For a browser, not having to pick up a controller and having free hands is amazing. Meta's Browser made very clear just how convenient it is and how well it works.
Next, the general user experience is pretty bad. Why are tabs in a SUBMENU? Essential of a web-browser is being able to quickly switch between different bits of information on different sites. Scroll through a list of posts, open those you want to check out in a new tab and come back later. All of this is easy in a normal browser, including Meta's. But here they decided to put the tabs in a sub menu? It's very awkward and slow to switch between them. There is a feature to open them in a new "window" instead, a new view somewhere seemingly random? The distinction between "tab" and "window" is strange, the relationship is not clear enough and I find myself fiddling around trying to get this to there, or a background tab next to another one, feels like a remnant of desktop browsing ported to VR.
Too many things are in (sub)menus, rather than simple gestures or top level options. Resizing the window shouldn't require a menu. Multiple views shouldn't require a menu. Why doesn't the controller grip button let me move the windows? Why is the address bar at the bottom? It's annoying to reach while sitting down. I couldn't download anything with this browser, there was an error popup each time.
I wish to see this become better, extension and sync are important for VR. But so is usability

Web XR no longer plays. This is the first version where Web XR videos from YouTube show as a black screen but there is audio. If I press the trigger button I am able to see the video controls to move forward and backwards.
Web XR Video seems to be working fine from the Oculus Browser so I'm not sure what has happened with Wolvic and WebXR videos.

Could you work on a Star Fighter VR Project that is similar to SNES Star Fox, but has the Virtual Pilot Wheel in the Cockpit that has got buttons on both sides that shoots Laser Shots, Nuclear Missiles and Fires Up Engine Thrusters. The Virtual Pilot Wheel that could turn Left or Right and does Barrel Rolls, if you Turn Fast Left or Right. Pulls towards you to Ascend and Pushes inwards to Descend.
The Shields are displayed on the Windshield. If you get hit, the Shield receives Damage. If you reach 0, you burn up and crash. You have 3 to 5 Continue Credits each try. Generate Score at End Of Level to earn a Continue Credit.
