SKYGAZE transforms your home into a magical planetarium, letting you explore the night sky in breath-taking detail. The app features accurate star positions calculated in real time, as well as the visible planets in our solar system.
This project was awarded 3rd Place at the Meta XR Hackathon 2021. The prize money was used to develop this demo.

some serious potential. the bones for an absolutely amazing app are all there. My suggestion is upgrade the textures for quest 3 as thats where an app like this can really shine. give us the full resolution of the displays and take advange of the sharpness to really give the stars some detail and I would sit in there for hours. as it sits right now is just too blury especially watching the planetarium stuff. Cant wait for the full release!
It's what I've been waiting for... But it could use some tweaking. I would allow for a person to look under themselves as well, not just the upper half of the room. I want to see Leo, but it's currently not in my viewing area and that blows. I loved the Planetarium and I can't wait to see the full version!! This is a win for me. Let's get the full version going!!
Love it so much! I really hope you're able to release the full version soon. It's such a cool effect to see my ceiling open up to the sky and the walls drop. The planetarium looks amazing.

Dear devs. This is a great app. I enjoy looking at the night sky from within my home. It’s pretty cool. One suggested though. It would be cool to look at different skies from different planets. Instead of making that too complicated, it would just be a day and night sky for all the planets in the solar system. Including things like a sunset on mars. Or an earthrise on the moon. That would be a cool feature

So Good！. It's a very good tool, but I would like to suggest improvements. ・The sky is too bright. It would be nice to be able to adjust the darkness of the sky. ・There is no need for daytime expressions. It would be nice to be able to turn on/off the dayltime. ・It would be nice to be able to advance or return the current time with the stick. ・It would be nice if there was a mode where there is no text display at all.

perfect app for star gazing. when i first got my oculus, all i wanted was an app that’ll give me an experience of seeing stars the way i used to see them, living on a boat, in the middle of the Pacific. i waited almost a year before something promising.
months ago, i saw previews of this app on reddit and knew there wasnt going to be anything that could compare.
today it was released and it is everything i wanted and more.
this is an amazingly beautiful piece of art that will be worth every penny that it sells for.
Easy way to look at the night sky in VR. I was looking for an easy way to simply look at the night sky in VR when I found an early version of this app on reddit.
I'm amazed of how much this app has been improved since the first demo.
I still love how you can virtually open the roof of your room and gaze at the current night sky above you.
Phenomenal! This is a phenomenal app. Open roof back, roll your walls down, look at the stars exactly as they are over your home! The only thing that would make it better is if you could put in your address and current time/zone you are in. Great job, Devs!
Beautifully done. I can only echo what the other reviewers have said about this app. The use of AR is something that excites me in VR and this app demonstrates how fantastic it is, and in time how the gaming/app world is going to change. Altho of course it would never beat standing in the freezing cold with a cup of *Bovril, staring at the mysteries that the skies have to offer. * other meaty drinks are available
