This game is addictive. The game is really fun but the only thing I would ask for is arcade because just throwing the boomerang and catching it is so satisfying.
Amazing game! I love this game I think it's a brilliant idea for a game. Considering it's only a demo it's absolutely fantastic and I love the design of em Kangaroo's. It's a very fun game and the time just flew by. I can't wait to see the full version of the Game.
Soooo fun very addicting. Soooo much fun like she said befor me, never bored!! Make sure u eat and rest befor u play I turned around and 2 hrs had past!🤣 and it's only the demo!!Multitasking dream game gotta hav the fool plz do more!!!

Defend Your Beers & BBQ From Kangaroos. Beers And Boomerangs is a fun interactive cooking sim meets defense style game. You will be serving up food and drinks to your mates, while protecting your beers and BBQ from the local wild life using boomerangs. You will have the challenge and timing of cooking and preparing the food, well also protecting it from swarms of wild life trying to sneak up and steal it.
This game gets challenging very fast, and each stage has 3 stars to earn to unlock more content. The demo comes with 3 stages to play, that give you a taste of what the full game has to offer. Spoiler, the taste is really good.
The game world takes place in Australia. You will be dropped into a wacky but very nice cartoon world, where you can interact with pretty much everything. The game also has great boomerang physics and feels amazing when you catch your first boomerang. The aiming is easy and you will become a boomerang expert in no time. The game has three methods of movement. Smooth locomotion, teleporting and room scaling, it should meet the comfort level for everyone. The controls of combat and cooking felt great. I did have some problems picking items off of the ground with out grabbing a boomerang by mistake.
This is more then just a cooking sim, its also a game of defense with a fair amount of challenge to it. I don't think I have played anything like this before. This demo was a blast and would be great to show off VR to friends and have a fun time. The demo was amazingly fun, and I can not wait to see what the full game has to offer. Chaotic fun! If you’re a fan of multi-tasking games… this is for you! Started off pretty easy until I had to start making burgers too. One of those good games to introduce new people to VR with because it is simple and fun. The game mechanics are straightforward and it is hilarious for a party game. I love how the boomerang throw feels!
This game makes me say words I’m not gonna repeat in this review… just gonna say HECK YOU KANGAROOS. They’re a menace. But your judge mental friends demanding burgers & drinks while you fend for your life might be worse….
Absolutely chaotic! I love it! Had so much fun trying to make burgers and keeping track of sneaky kangaroos. Throwing boomerangs is very satisfying and it is great to also throw the kangaroos in case of panic!
I love that so much thought went into the details, for example smashing plates, being able to make the BBQ vegetarian, the trash in the trashcan and opening the beer! I'm really looking forward to the full game!
Amazing! Rarely have I thought of purchasing a game from the app lab as they’re usually not great but this game I’m unhappy that it’s not yet available to purchase, I loved it! Throwing the boomerangs and catching them was so rewarding! Also trying to give out beers and make burgers whilst kangaroos are trying to steel your beers was quite chaotic! Really excited for this to release would love to hear when it’s expected.
Funny, cute, hilarious and Australian. This application reminds me of disk benders. Except it is a funny arcade game with cute animals trying to steal your food while you barbecue in Australia. Try to get donations from company to make their products appear in the game.
The positive: I love it. It is funny. The handling of the boomerang is very arcade style. For some reason, I find it easier to throw with my left hand. You are not going to feel any motion sickness and there is a quit button to leave the game. Decent fitness too.
The bad: This is the demo. I wish I could hear the animals so I know where they are coming from. Sometimes the animals will show up next to me out of the blue. I hope the final version will have more animals. Handling the food was harder in the last stage than I expected. The plate could not stay on the barbecue. You cannot grill the buns. I also wish for levels of difficulty. Don't do like the game cookout: as the levels get too hard, i cannot pass level and I stop playing...
Here are some funny ideas: - add koala who walk to the player and hung on his or her leg and slow the movement down - add crocodiles who like to stand around the barbecue to stay hot and stop access to the barbecue - add giant crabs who make holes in the cooler - add bees who make it hard to see until the players wave his hands around - add rabbits who hop all over the place and distract the players from other animals - add birds who like to talk in a Australian voice and distract the player and make it hard to listen to other animals
Developers please respond! Hey so I loved the demo because of how good the story and gameplay and physics but I don’t have a pc or money :( so I was wondering two things 1 will the full game be on quest store and 2 how much would it cost?
Silly and fun. Bouncy kangaroos wearing boxing gloves try to steal your beer so you throw boomerangs at them. Or punch them. Somehow I accidentally threw one and I have no idea how. But it was amusing as heck.
But ... but ... I couldn't find any way to move aside from physically walking, so I couldn't do the second level where I was supposed to make burgers while also defending against roos. Maybe I missed it? Or maybe a teleport option or some other movement will be added to the full game. I hope so because otherwise you'll need a pretty big space to move around.
Nice. This game is great! The settings are cleverly hidden on a board that says “Park rules”. Now, let’s move on the the kangaroos. Those little beans are very fun to yeet across the map. Lots of creative ways to blow em up. One small thing I noticed was that they will go to any beer, including one that you are holding. It would be nice if they tried to jump up and steal if from you, because otherwise, it’s easy to get a swarm of them around you and throw them at each other. But for a demo, and a beta testing, it’s great. Excited to see where it goes!
This game was absolutely perfect. I found this game on Reddit last night, left a comment, fall asleep, and this morning the dev/OP replied, asked if I could check it out and leave a review. So I downloaded the game, played it, and boy do I have to say, IT WAS ABSOLUTELY GREAT, IT SERIOUSLY IS ONE OF THE MOST FUN GAMES I'VE EVER PLAYED. THE ONLY THING I HAVE WRONG WITH THIS GAME IS THAT ITS SHORT, AND THATS JUST A SMALL COMPLAINT, WE SERIOUSLY NEED A TEAM ON THIS GAME, OR SUPPORT THE DEVS AS MUCH AS WE CAN, SERIOUSLY 10/10

an awesome australia game i guess. Beers and Boomerangs is a game that perfectly sums up australian culture as seen by non-australians. You have to basically kill baby kangaroos trying to get yer beer/soda (and make food for yor mates with a barbie in later levels). I like the music, and throwing boomerangs at kangaroos has never felt better. I like the neat touch in the tutorial if you litter, you get sent to HELL! I wish there were more levels though, as the game currently only has 2 proper levels (as of writing the review, and not including the tutorial). Overall, I'm buying this as soon as I can on both platforms. Keep up the good work, Witty Platypus!
