ローグライクシューターのファンへ The Foglands for the Questは、特にローグライクシューターのファンに混ざった体験を提供します。
Honestly a fun game! I been playing this game for a bit on my Meta Quest 3 and have been having a good time. It’s scratching that roguelike itch for me and I like the full on voice acting and story. The vibes remind me of a Western meets Fallout vibe.
If you’re a fan of roguelike games then I suggest checking this one out for sure. I thought at first it would be to freaky for me but it’s really not a scary game at all. The options also have plenty of VR options as well which is nice to see. Standing mode, sitting mode, different control options, etc.
Looking at the reviews it seems the developers are listening to feedback so I confident that any bugs in the game will be squashed in due time.
Has potential to be a great game. The game definitely has potential to be a great game. And is a lot better than the past reviews suggest. But it still needs a fair few more quality of life updates.
Firstly, I love the music and overall vibe if the game.
There needs to be a bit more feedback from shooting enemies. The enemies don't seem to feel pain and walk through most shots. There's also no feedback to melee attacks, slight controller vibrations would suffice there.
A map on the wrist would also be nice. I've wandered around aimlessly not knowing what I'm doing plenty of times. Or anything to let me know where I need to be going or what I need to be doing. After playing the game for a few hours, I still don't really know what I'm doing or what the objective of the game is.
Those updates alone would make the game so much better.
Ruff … So ruff. I usually try to find good things in my reviews even if I personally don’t like it. But wow, I cannot find one thing good about that game
I am a big fan of roguelike shooter in VR. I play Sweet surrender, Compound, hellsweeper, light brigade almost daily. I was really happy to try a new one, i didn’t watch any trailers so i had no expectations at all except “roguelike shooter VR”
The first 10min was “ok” i guess, then they gave me a gun and I had to shoot a mob. After the first “bullet” shot on an “alive” target I knew at that point that it was a very refundable game… good god, i have more target feedback from the classic Doom
Other points:
-unoptimize for Quest Pro, the graphics are so ugly, and i cannot have any semblance of stable fps
-buggy as hell, mobs, doors, elevators, fall damage… EVERYTHING is broken
-no weapon or world feedback, ultra basic “vr for people who get sick easily”, lets say the movement option are terribly “simple”
-no two hands mode on pistol, no toggle run option or auto run.
-15min in, the exact same mob “model” takes 1 “bullet”… 30min later the same type of monster is a big daddy commercial bullet sponges
Yhea that’s it,
Last thing, i cannot understand how they got the spot on the official Meta store with that POS of a buggy mess
I played 2077 40hours the first week it was out, but that game is just unplayable in that state
Another banger VR roguelike imo. First off, I am a little biased because of my love for western aesthetics with a little mysticism mixed in, but that aside the gameplay is pretty good. The guns I've experienced so far have been fun, but what I've really been falling in love with is the melee and "improvised ranged weaponry". You don't get many VR roguelikes that let you just up and punch an enemy (and usually when they do let you it does pitiful damage, so having a punch that actually feels like a punch and not like your just ticking the enemy is a nice change of pace) or pelt them with whatever bits and bobs you may have on hand.
stuttering and tons of loading. the game is unplayable. Every action you do it makes the game stutter. you shoot: stutter you take an item: stutter something explode: BIG STUTTER it also stutter while you're walking, running and when you crouch. High from the ground is totally messed up, you fly one meter above the ground and even customizing the high there's no way to stay on the ground. Is even impossible to crouch. To pass under an obstacle i have to use the button to crouch and also crouch phisically. Graphics are very low, the bonfire is like a sprite from a 8bit old game. It's hard to understand what to do exactly, but short story long, you have to run around collecting gears and stuffs to improve your equipment and repeat, again and again and again and what it makes me go crazy, every 30 steps you take, there's a loading, a black screen with a circle for about 10 seconds and then you can proceed.
Worst Quest game this year. How is it possible that Meta allows this game to be in the main store? I wouldn't even play it again if it was for free. It's bad in every single category! Graphics bad, AI bad, level design bad, performance bad, gameplay bad, handling bad and loading screens after every corner. This definitely needs to be removed from the main store, DO NOT BUY IT!
