The Great Escape: Dragon’s Dungeon(アドベンチャー、アクション)の評価とレビュー
Buggy + Pay-For-Hints = pass. The game is very buggy, with lots of herky-jerky movements and completely random physics (sometimes you let go of an item and it just falls, sometimes it flies across the room). Add to that the idea that you have to *pay* for a hint, and it's an absolute pass for me.
Also, I don't know if it's another bug or part of the actual design of the room, but when "The Great Room" first started, somehow I already had a pink-flaming spear, but by the time I found the first three cystals, somehow that spear either disappeared or had gone out. I don't know if I was supposed to find the pink crystal (and if so, how - I felt like I solved everything available) to regain the pink flame, or if that spear was supposed to remain available to me, to complete the ten-step light sequence. Either way, made for a very frustrating experience.
rough around the edges but give it a go. I really liked the first few levels although the controls take a bit of getting used to. I would definitely recommend someone to try it even for the first 3 or 4 levels as the puzzles are really fun and not too easy at all but definitely doable (there is also a hint system). The game has fun collectibles and leaderboards for each room too.
It took me a while to figure out what did what for the controls even with the labels and sometimes placing things where you wanted them to be was a little more challenging than it should be but overall it wasn't too much of an issue and I still enjoyed the puzzles
level 1: more of an opportunity to figure out the controls than a good puzzle but very necessary
level 2: very fun room interactions and puzzles
level 3: you may not want to finish it but definitely start it. Puzzles are easily found but fun to finish. However it involves a mini game (the dreaded barrels...) that is quite hard to complete
level 4: fun but too easy? I think maybe less information needs to be given so its more about finding missing information rather than matching
level 5: (disclaimer: I have not finished this one as it seems very long and haven't had the time yet) For the other rooms I don't mind that there isn't a save feature as they don't take too long but the puzzles are quite long for this one so think it might be necessary or it should be split into different levels but maybe that is part of the challenge
Stuck.... Its frustrating... I quit. I stuck in the warroom. Cant finish the speer and shield. No way. I payed money for a hint but all I got is what I allready know. Shoot the barrels. Thats not okay. Sorry. I quit after trying hard.
What it could be. This game could be a lot of fun if it just wasn't so buggy! The actual rooms themselves are really fun! Sure, some of the puzzles need to be easier (I'm looking at you barrel shooting game) or harder, but overall it they were really fun!
Now what wasn't so fun was the camera and movement. I don't tend to get motion sick in VR but I can't play for very long in this game. Also some of the physics and collision needs to be worked on. Luckily there's not much you need to throw anyway but when you do throw something, it will either go really far or nowhere. Rarely will it go where you wanted it to. Then if you move around too fast or if there's a lot loaded in, the game gets REALLY choppy.
Let's break it up by level now. Level 1: alright but just too short. Level 2: Pretty fun and had some fairly challenging puzzles Level 3: overall fun but the shooting mini games could use some work. Level 4: fun but simple. The scroll puzzle could be a little more difficult. Level 5: Don't even bother. It's confusing as it doesn't really point you to what's you need to do. The first challenge is easy once you figure out what's happening and doing the challenge is really fun. The second challenge needs to have some kind of instructions for the controls at very least. Even once I figured those out, it still made me motion sick. The third challenge is just awful to the point that I couldn't make it further. It's not really clear as to what's happening, or what your goal is, or even what your actually doing for that matter. And before you can even figure it out, there are so many enemies spawned in that the game becomes just still shots every few seconds. I thought flipping the switch to turn it off and back on would reset it but no. After slowly crawling my way back to the lever, I turned it off and the smoothness came back. I then flipped the lever again to try the challenge again but instead of starting from the beginning of the challenge, it picked up right where it left off. All the previous enemies spawned back and the frame rate went back to awful in a split second.
Last thing, it needs a save feature.
I truly wish I could give this game a higher rating because the level design and most of the puzzles are actually really fun, but until this game fixes all of it's big issues (especially the Dungeon level), I just can't fairly give it a better rating.
Love. It need a save button and it needs to be where you can add multiple players like one person plays it then when they get off like another person to play it but not have to start in the same place as the other person was at that would be fun I love the game love aspect of it but overall love it
Don't recommend. You can't move around so if your in a small space you can't play this game . When you try to throw spears they fly different ways. Not worth my time
Nice game but..... Was enjoying the game but the the war room just finished it for me. The barrels & shield! Really??? 2 days spent on these was more than enough. I've been playing frustrating games for years haha and many controllers have been thrown across the floor but either I'm getting way too old or there is a glitch. I've tried everything with these two. Everything. With the spear, where does it keep disappearing to?? haha Enough is enough. Shame. A save point might have helped a little ;-)
Yes as some have claimed you do get stuck. Just get at it, if your to that point of giving up there is a hint button, if that’s not enough…Google helps.
Couldn't finish .......... Agree with redeye70. Got to the war room and can't do the spear and shield. Gave up after many tries as you have to start the level from the begining a shame really as it could have been a great game.
Started off great, but broken last level. I really enjoyed my time with this game. Right up until the final Dungeon room that is. The final room was such a horribly tedious and frustrating experience. The first part was clear enough (although time consuming to position so many little ladders and platforms). The second part looked like it would be simple enough, but there was no instructions on how to make the dragon fly. All I could do was make it run around on the floor and breath fire. After about 5 minutes of that it suddenly started flying, and I still have no idea how or why. Flying the dragon was also VERY motion sickness inducing. And then the third part is so utterly confusing that I don't even know what to do. Hundreds of tiny skeletons spawn and freeze the game after a few minutes. Sometimes I seem to be able to control a skeleton and hit other skeletons or the spawn points (but sometimes I can't). But I can't get very far before the game becomes unresponsive. And why am I controlling a skeleton and not the dwarf hero (who just stands there and does nothing)? I read all the scrolls by the levers, but I don't really understand what's happening. I've never gotten past this point, so I don't know what the 4th lever does. And add this all to the fact that getting to the third lever takes a long time, and you have to start all over every time it freezes. And there is supposed to be a hint system, but every hint just seems to play a trailer for the game without any actual information. I really loved the other levels, but the end just ruins the whole experience.
Needs a save game option. I started playing on a partially charged battery and had to stop before completing the level. I had to start over when I returned. Unless I missed it, having a save feature would be nice.
A definite must try. Lots of potential. I've found my experience of this game to be very fun and challenging! My first VR escape room/puzzle game.
Have worked out each puzzle on each stage without any hints so far. They are very clever. The narrative is very clever too.
I've managed to get through to the final stage, and am having trouble with the first puzzle with Tuk Tuk. I've managed to turn all of the rings green, apart from the middle one that hovers over the fire pit. I play in a very small space, and have trouble leaning over the pit to place pieces where I need to. Maybe you could incorporate a feature that allows you to move pieces away from you using the joystick, instead of having to place there where you hand is. Also there maybe needs to be a bit more of a hint at what the gears do and their purpose, I've just left thee along but would like to know their use in the puzzle.
This level also crashed for me and gave me massive motion sickness from a glitched out environment. I think there were too many objects placed and having the continuous running Tuk Tuk figure, it might have caused the crash. Maybe the figure could be activated by a button or lever, instead of having to appear continuously.
Other suggestion would be to save progress in the level, instead of having to start from the beginning each time you quit.
Has a lot of potential. Could be perfect with adjustments to controls/placing objects.
Super Fun, but Couldn't Finish. I absolutely love this game. I was stumped many times, but in a good way. However, I can't finish the game. In the room where you need to fly the dragon, I can't figure out how to make the dragon fly. It changes my perspective, so that I am looking at the dragon from above, and it makes me extremely motion sick. Other than that, fun game!
Fun and challenging. This game is a lot of fun. The puzzles are mostly challenging but not too challenging. I am having trouble with the War Room. The Hammer Throw and Sword were pretty easy. It took me FOREVER to shoot down enough barrels with the spear. I cannot figure out the Shield though. I keep blocking fireballs with the shield but not enough I guess? I'm not even sure if I'm doing it right. The hint video for that part of the War Room only shows the barrels.
Overall though, I highly recommend this game and I cannot wait to see what it will be like when it graduates beyond the App Lab.
By the way, the ball maze and Othello mini games are pretty simple, but I enjoy them each time. The other two puzzles in that room (slide puzzle and pentominos) are only slightly more difficult for me, but it's a little infuriating that I have to redo them again each time I load the game before I can try again to block enough fireballs or shoot enough barrels to get past the War Room.
I really love this type of game. Keep up the great work!
Game overloading with minions. Having a great time. Thanks for the hints! Stuck on the minions however, something is overloading the headset a couple of minutes after starting that section and it slows to the point of being non-responsive and unplayable. Too many simultaneous minions? Any suggestions? Having a real problem learning to control my warrior. Can't find a way to tweak performance for this and there was no sign of overloading in any previous room. Update - thanks for the hint, but not helpful. Still can't figure out how to steer the guy. Always gets stuck running into a wall until the overload.
Great potential. I really like this game. Difficult to solve, but had some good advice from the dev, Brian, who has said that on main release, there will be some form of hint system. This would be ideal for those of us who need that. Some clever ideas encorporated into this game. A save option more often would be good. Lessens the frustration!
Very enjoyable until…. I really enjoyed playing and was impressed with the mechanics and puzzles. Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t handle the motion needed for the second part of the fifth room. I’m sorry won’t be able to finish it.
Four stars anyway because I think it was great fun and challenging until then.
Great game. I am trying and enjoying this game. Love the control and that you can pick up any thing at any point of the room without having to go there.
I would be also grateful for some hints. Got stuck now for days in the war room. Can't break enough barrels with the spear to move on. (Or do I do something wrong?) Furthermore, it seems that the game doesn't save the progress. I have to solve the puzzle every time to come to the progress I have already been. This is quite annoying. I would appreciate a possibility to unlock the next room.
But for the test phase it is very good. Would appreciate to get a hint or to somehow unlock the next room. Thanks.
