Has potential. This game has some amazing potential, but currently the controls make it hard to play at lease, for me. If you guys could fix the controls a bit, and after a few updates, this game will be great!

Must try for spaceflight fans! Really enjoyed the game overall, but my experience ran into a few issues related to the controls.
There seems to be a deadzone in the corners of the joystick controls. This works well when using joystick mode since the vertical tilt and barrel rolling are very distinctly different types of movement. You don't want full blast mixing of the two in the corners.
However, with the arcade/controller setup, you get extremely slow aim movement in the corners, resulting in only the main 4 X and Y points giving you appropriate aim adjustment. This might be intentional by the developers, but it felt really unnatural compared to other console flying games.
In joystick mode, I felt like I could appropriately chase down enemies, but not so much in controller mode. If that was fixed, I could see definitely going to 4 stars!
EDIT: Another plus, the headtracking weapon aiming was really cool and slightly offset the control issues. Great use of unique to VR capabilities.
Love the game. This game is amazing I only ha e one issue and it's that I can't figure out how to play multi-player but I'm sure it's my problem and not a game problem but other than that this game is 100% 5 🌟
Space Flight VR Simulator. As a fan of space flight simulators, I was excited to try out Squadron 1 on my Oculus Quest 2. The game offers a variety of game modes, including multiplayer deathmatch, missions, practice against AI, basic training, and chill mode. The controls were easy to pick up, and I appreciated the option to use manual controls or the controller thumbsticks.
One issue I encountered was with the joystick controls in arcade/controller mode. There seemed to be a deadzone in the corners, which resulted in slow aim movement and made it difficult to chase down enemies. However, the headtracking weapon aiming was a cool feature and helped offset the control issues.
Overall, I really enjoyed Squadron 1. The graphics were beautiful and the gameplay was smooth and immersive. The deathmatch mode was especially fun and gave me Star Wars vibes. I also appreciated the variety of game modes, including the option to relax and listen to music in Free Roam mode. The developers are also regularly adding new features, which is a nice touch.
I would definitely recommend Squadron 1 to other space flight simulator fans. It's a great, free game with a lot of potential. The only downside is that the multiplayer aspect was a little confusing for me to figure out, but I'm sure it's just a learning curve on my part. Overall, a great game and definitely worth checking out.

Its Almost a 3d vr version of 1 off the first games from the 80s - ASTROIDS -. But then with gorgeous graphics and great gameplay. You can choose how to steer the ship, i fly fpv freestyle drones irl and the sticks are the same! So smart you can swap roll and yaw!! I would buy this any day. Compliments! Love the deathmatch! I am sure other drone pilots love this game aswell. There are great tournaments on set times to take part in, you can earn credits that way to buy a new ship. The gameplay is stunning and ultrasmooth, the aiming works amazingly good on Headtracking, just look at what you want to hit in combination with the 3 axis steering is so imersive.
I only wish there were more tournaments per day! But i gladly wait for a few hours to take part.

BLOWN AWAY !!! Just WOW ! I've recently downloaded this through applab/ oculus store and it's day two..absolutely hooked into this . Unbelievably immersive gameplay and fantastic game mechanics / physics! . The graphics are second to none and everything is extremely well designed . Not had this much fun and catharsis since first getting the meta quest 2 . So excited to see what's coming next for this , honestly can't believe this game is just starting out given how well designed and developed . Absolutely 5 stars !!!!!!!

Do not play or download this game. While I was downloading an update for this game, the game got stuck with the installation icon on it. Therefore I can't remove it uninstall it or move on, Therefore I can't install or update games I already have if your thinking about playing this game don't!!!!
This is going to be big. User functionality: One of the main things I like about this game is the ability to switch back and forth on the choice of controls mid-game. I don’t have to log out and redo settings, it’s all there in the cockpit. The game also runs very smooth.
User Experience: This layout is AWESOME. The moment I got into the cockpit it was Dogfight time in space for sure! Be advised to make sure you get a good feel for ALL of the control options so that you don’t get motion sick. In addition, be sure to go through the tutorial to make sure you know all the assets that you have around you during your match. That was one of the major things I didn’t see my competitors doing and picked them off with no problems. Play the game to find out what I’m talking about.
This game has so much potential to expand when it comes to user customization, squadrons, patches, helmet designs - endless opportunities!
In other words, yeah, I like it, and it’s worth a try! And with that Top Gun sequel coming out why not get a feel for the need for speed :)
Stunning. This game is absolutely stunning, the graphics on a PC would look so outdated but in VR it's amazing! Keep doing what you are doing and I hope to see you guys be at the top of the VR market.

Great free game, still needs work though. Really cool space flight game, with kind of a hybrid between arcade and sim controls (think Star Wars Squadrons-lite). The game comes with 3 amazing cockpits and has a good art style like No Man's Sky. It still needs A LOT of work but how can you expect much from a free, early-access game with a very small dev team. I hope the game improves and gains a player base.
Phenomenal. When I launched the game I was greeted with one of the best looking VR menus I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. Colorful, but not loud. Everything is easy to find, and the texture quality is a high as possible for the Quest, which is a PS2 strapped to your face. I select basic training and complete one of the most well designed tutorials I have ever played. I finish the tutorial, kill a few Ai fighters, and return to the menu. I find one available lobby and join it. I play a single round and have a lot of fun trying (and failing) to shoot anyone. As it turns out I happened to join the lobby that contained both the lead developer and the best player. No wonder I couldn't kill anyone. But they were insanely nice. And I mean it. These two people were some of the nicest folks I have ever met while playing a VR game. We spoke about the development, coming features, new ships, and other such possible things to come. Before the lead developer left, he told me to try out the chill mode, which I did. It was strangely relaxing, just sitting in the cockpit and listening to the great music. I did run into some frame drops while in the center of the free roam area, but it wasn't too bad. One complaint I do have is that the arcade controls are not quite responsive enough, leading to some inadvertent crashes into asteroids and such. This is not much of an issue at the moment, because crashing does not damage your ship. The future plan is to make it so, however, so I do think that they should tweak the controls just slightly. Otherwise, a phenomenal game that I do plan on playing again.
Really fun to fly :). While currently in active development, the game already is a wonderful and unique immersive experience. Most important for me: The spacecraft is really fun to fly - not too hard to control but still features plausible physics. Sitting with your opponents at a "round table" before and after finishing a death match where you can talk about tactics, the game or anything else adds a distinct social dimension which can rarely be found in arcade like shooter games. I am looking forward to more exciting online matches and patiently await any future improvements the developers might come up with :)
It's bonkers. So far I have loved playing this game is not so jolty as to make you super sick but the actual fights have a very fast pace I'm glad to see the devs are constantly improving the game I've been playing the last three days and everyday I'm seeing new tweaks to the game
