Finally a rail shooter. Those 80's vibes ❤️. So much memories playing this on my sega master system as a child. I wish there was a coop mode and an enhanced version for the quest 3. Tutorial was glitched for me. When i needbto check te watch to see my health. It keeps rumbling and it does nothing. So i just started mission 1. But the left controller never stopped rumbling. I had to quit and restart the game. I wish there was more rail shooter in vr. Imagine time crisis 1 and 2 in vr.... What a blast it would be. I know i know. These are namco titles and not taito 😅
80s Arcade shooter fun! I love this game!! Very fun, tight controls. I used to play this in the arcades and on OG NES. My kids like it too. I love on the rails, pure shooting, lots of fun weapons, like a GI Joe cartoon!
OPERATION PLAY ME NOW! I remember playing this game in the arcades when I was young. Never could get very far, and always ran out of quarters. But now with the VR version I was able to finish the entire game!
The story portion of the game was fun. The horde mode was too easy and I was able to run all 99 levels in one try. Needs to be harder. Too many tanks, helicopters and tanks do not shoot at all. Very repetitive.
I got what I expected. It's a rail shooter like it always was. It's fairly casual and simple. People seem to be expecting a massive campaign that's super serious. If it was I would refund it because then they would just jumping on the shooter bandwagon. My biggest gripe is the graphics and resolution. The graphics remind me of Virtua fighter and it looks really jaggy. Other than that it's simple casual fun. It's not Call of duty. 🤷♂️
Fun, not frustrating. This is the perfect VR game.
Pros: - Based off of a classic arcade smash hit, 1987’s “Operation Wolf” by Taito - Very comfortable to play standing or sitting - Action packed enough to excite, yet casual enough not to frustrate - Nothing complicated about shooting nor reloading, yet varied enough to keep from getting bored - Appealing for all ages
Requested Additions (not cons): - Achievements. Would be great to have goals to work towards. The console ports have achievements. - The original 1987 arcade game. It should be an unlockable bonus for beating the game. Seeing the original arcade cabinet on the menu is such a tease. - Interactive menu. Speaking of teases, there’s so many targets and destructible-looking objects that are just static parts of the set. Let people new to VR shoot EVERYTHING. - More modes. The 99 Waves were fun, but I got an S-Rank on my first attempt and cleared all 99 waves in 35 minutes. Gotta add some more stuff. Maybe unlockable weapons or silly modifiers for the solo campaign. Maybe “Operation Thunderbolt” or “Operation Wolf 3”.
Mid. It's a rail-shooter that takes you through 6 levels which are about 5 to 10 minutes each. It seems unnecessarily short. It lacks a sense of danger since it takes a lot of hits to actually lose. Shooting-game fans will likely be disappointed with it but ok for casual gamers. On the positive side, it feels like a good target practice simulator and it was entertaining while it lasted. I played Operation Wolf on Nintendo back in the early-90s. That nostalgic feeling drew me to this game.
Good but short. I remember playing the original in the arcade so this game brought some of those memories.
It is an enjoyable experience but like others have said, it's way too short for the price.
I also encountered a bug where the game would not let me switch weapons. No matter how many times I pushed the direction of the gun I wanted, it wouldn't switch. To fix it, I had to switch to a gun I didn't want and then to the one I actually wanted. This led to some cheap deaths, which was a little frustrating. Hopefully, they will fix this with an update.
Ok,1987 nostalgia classic. Remember playing this on my C64 with a light gun on the old crt tv,what a classic and now we need House Of The Dead in Vr .That should be your next release dev.Well done, great memories.
No Response On Any Review From Developer. I am concerned that none of the reviews, especially critical ones have not had any responses. That typically is a red flag to not expect many if any updates addressing issues. I hope I'm proven wrong.
Memories. I used to play this game (acade version) way back in the day I'm 63 now and thought I must try And I did brought back fun memories Fun game fun memories
