Great Concept, but ... I like the Concept, but cannot give it a high rating for two reasons: 1. The Preformance is awfull even on Quest 3 (Which would be OK but...) 2. This is just a Demo that you pay for and nobody is telling you about it. It ends after the first Chapter! How can you put out an uncomplete game, not telling anyone who is buying it? Do you want us to wait, so we cant refound it after two weeks if you are not bringing any updates? Feels like fraud to me.
paying to play a demo. You're paying to play a demo, not worth buying. Probably only 15 to 20 mins. Not much common words you would use if you're trying to learn a different language to use on the regular. Concept is good but needs to be improved game length and more practical real world words to learn that language before buying.
Great concept. I am a linguist at heart, and, as such, I love the concept of this game. The execution thus far, however, is lacking.
1) The microphone kept glitching. It would freeze or disappear and not let me speak. It became very frustrating.
2) The sound to let you know someone to battle is within eyesight is very jarring. I would like it if we could change it to something gentler and / or quieter. It would also be nice to be able to shut it off entirely and just have the visual notification.
3) The falcon battle simply would not work for me. Granted, I may have been doing something wrong on this one, but even so, I would say that the lack of clear and concise instruction would be to blame. I simply ignored that function altogether.
4) I was disappointed to find out it was unfinished and was complete so quickly. I understand you have more coming with free DLC, but in order to progress on a language, you have to practice regularly. I will have to replay the same scenes over and over or wait and risk losing any progress I made.
5) There were multiple times when the romanization was very different than the Hangul. I understand trying to make it make sense to a native English speaker, but some were just completely different words, and some were written in Hangul, then English, and then the audio was something else entirely! As a student, that's frustrating.
6) As a student, I would like to not only memorize words but also learn grammar and sentence structure. It would be more useful in real life.
I have more, but really, who's gonna read all of this anyway.
Overall, it was an ok experience. Though, it did feel rushed for release. I await your updates and hope for the best. This idea is fire! I just need you guys to work on the follow-through.
Where is the rest?. I really enjoy this game. I think it is engaging and set up in a way that makes learning a new language fun. That being said I just paid 20 bucks for the first level. Why are you releasing a game if it isn't complete?
Excited for the next chapters! I was unsure whether or not a VR game would be able to help me with my Spanish pronunciation, but this game definitely did! Learning “Magia”and Spanish vocabulary along the way, I completed the first 2 shards of the main quest and some of the side quests as well. This took me about 3 hours, and my Vocabulary journal said I learned more than 50 Spanish words and phrases.
Stopped working, but their team fixed it. I bought this game like a week ago, I use it on my quest3, today for no reason it's giving black screen and no loading no matter what, tried to remove data and uninstall but no luck.
I like it but it seems I have to refund as it's no working and could not reach any support.
Maybe in the future if they work on this more and also add latin america Spanish that would be perfect.
Update: I have reached the community on Discord, their team is super fast and have fixed the issue with an update.
